章 33: Aiden
"Umm Yes?" Jason said as he answered in a sheepish voice. He had not planned on telling her soon as he valued their friendship at the same level he cares for his sister. And he did not want to destroy this by going the relationship route. But when he saw her almost leave him, he had been desperate enough to bet his life for her's. It made him realize that fear is what had kept them apart, till now but now he did not give a fuck. He wanted to be with her..Have her in his arms as he showered her with his affection.
Life was short and he would not live it without her in it.
"Dumbo" Arya Laughed as she saw his reaction. The same fear of losing their friendship had kept her from confessing her feelings to him but now that Jason had taken the first step and broken the invisible wall they had put up. She could finally be true to her feelings.
"I love you too, Dumbo," Arya said with a red face but She looked him in the eyes as she said so. It gave her shivers as she said so… an unnatural heat rose up her body making everything warm and fuzzy inside her.
Jason too could not help but shiver at hearing her say those words out loud. His body started feeling warm as he looked at in her eyes as he turned to cup her face inside his hands as he looked deeply in her eyes.
Their faces closed into each other as if a force of nature was pushing them towards each other without them noticing it. Their lips almost touching each other as the warm breath of the other splashed on the other's face making the them lose themselves into each other's eyes. And then it finally happened…
*Roargh!!
A zombie came speeding at them breaking them of their small little moment as they focused their attention at the zombie.
An ice shard and a bullet both pierced the poor zombie's skull as they looked at it fiercely with red faces.
"Let's find Her first, Aiden is in danger right now," Jason said those words as he tried to control his surging emotions. He had first find Aiden before all this. Finding Aiden should be his priority.
"Yes," Arya also replied in an embarrassed tone. They had come to find Aiden they could sort these things after doing so.
They moved towards the playing field as they killed zombies as if they were playing shoot the pigeon game, With there powers, it was super easy to kill level one or level two zombies for now. But what Jason worried about was what would happen when they face level three, four or maybe ten zombies then it might be them who were killed effortlessly by the zombies. This thought drove him to be fanatic about growing stronger to survive.
They finally reached the playground and there were eaten up corpses and zombies everywhere. Looking at the number of zombies his eyes widened as there were around one hundred zombies roaming there.
He took Arya's hand stepped back to hide behind a wall as he peered at the horde of zombies. Most of these zombies had evolved to level two.
"Their evolving system is broken as shit" Jason muttered under his breath. Even both of them combined would not be able to fight this many zombies at the same time.
"We'll have to go into Assasin mode for this one," Arya said as She laughed softly.
"I have an idea" Arya heard Jason say this before her world turned into speed motion as she saw them move past the zombies by moving through buildings as they reached the classrooms beside the Playground. All the while Jason was carrying her bridal style, causing her to have a half panicked half startled look.
When he finally put her down as they reached their direction she punched him on his arm as she spoke fiercely.
" You could have given me a warning Before going all speed mode on me "
"Then how would I get to see the comical surprised look on your face," Jason said with an impish grin on his face as he strolled towards one of the classrooms.
"I'll have my revenge just you wait" Arya wowed as she too followed him inside.
They pushed the doors and what welcomed them were two zombie rushing at them.
*Bang *Bang
Jason sot them immediately as he had already felt their presence due to his sixth sense skill.
Jason went inside and checked around to make sure that Aiden was not here. He moved to another classroom and then to another and so on but they found no one inside each of them except some blood-crazed zombies.
They reached at the end of the building finding no one.
"Where is she" Jason had a frustrated look on his face as he had been kicking the doors of one room after another finding nothing.
"Maybe she went to another Classroo..." Arya did not get to complete her sentence as a loud scream echoed in the building.
"That 's Aiden" A furious look overcame Jason's face as he rushed towards the direction where the scream came from.

FlickeringFlame If anyone has any problem with the love stuff that happened in this chapter then I say you walk way from this novel. I'm trying to make this apocalypse novel closer to reality...well as close you can be in an apocalyptic world.
There will be love, there will be graphic blood/gore scenes too, there might be even some terrifying shit in here too, there will be empire building too so if you can't handle the characters in this story having a life and a mind of their own then it's not for you.
