章 162: Ch.47
After such a trying week, more bad news came no less than a month later that had all the Avengers assembling. One of the scientists studying the mind stone tried to connect it to the internet and caused a very big problem, it worked. A jolt of pure mental energy went into the only place it could access that couldn't fend it off, the Ultron program Tony scrapped.
That led to a partially finished robot causing severe trouble and us chasing it's trail across the globe until it built itself a vibranium body from the vibranium it stole from a smuggler named Ulysses Klaue. We arrived in time to catch Klaue while Ultron was gone once more, using Jarvis's links he'd acquired after crushing the semi sentient program, to stay a step ahead.
We did however stop him after he stole the mind stone and began making himself a new synthetic body thanks to a South Korean doctor, Helen Cho's, work on synthetic bio replacement organs.
I destroyed his big body of vibranium while the rest including the Hulk, destroyed his regular bodies he'd acquired and manufactured. Unfortunately he escaped through the internet while the bots exploded. I stopped the humans from dying but the damage was severe to the highway and overpass structures enough to warrant me using magic and the elements to repair the damage.
While I cleaned up, the team too the synthetic body back to the newly dubbed, Avengers tower. By the time I got back, Vision had already been born and had the mind stone in his head. Sighing I asked them. "What the hell? I was only separated for a couple of hours!"
Tony pointed to Thor. "He did it!"
I turned to Thor who gulped. "I was only trying to destroy it before it could become alive."
I scowled. "And here I thought you weren't a total meat head, it's a robot, or was a robot anyway. Now it has a soul and everything!"
I shook my head and Vision looked me over before saying. "I can feel your connection to the mind stone."
I snorted. "Yeah? Tell me something I don't know?"
He smiled. "The stone in you is housing your essence and soul. It is forging a connection with the mind stone as well, like it belongs, but something is hindering it's progress."
I was a bit stunned by that and went silent. Thor asked. "You have another infinity stone?"
I shook my head. "That's not what it is. It's not from the original being, it's something I acquired farther away than any infinity stone can reach."
Vision spoke up. "It's true. It's not an original infinity stone but it has the potential to be one. It feels like an alternate stone to replace one of them."
I grunted. "That's enough from you child. Speak and more about it and I'll take away your stone, leaving you a hunk of scraps."
He quieted, feeling I was serious. I turned to the rest. "That's not our current problem-"
I got a message from Coulson. "Skye's been taken by some teleporter who took her father, a known psychopath and killer."
I growled. "I'll be there in a few minutes. I have some other issues so give me a sec."
I turned off the coms. "Sorry guys and gals, my new adopted sister slash biological sister? Yeah I'm not sure, but she's been taken."
I waved a hand and Drake, Blonsky, Leo and Henry appeared. I sent them all the information they needed and told them. "You take the team and deal with Ultron. I'll deal with Skye's issues."
Natasha asked. "Need any help?"
I shook my head. "No, you're needed here. Make sure no one's harmed and shut down Ultron."
I turned to Blonsky and Drake. "Both of you have links to my powers. Use them and draw what you need to get the job done. Save the humans and make sure none of the Avengers are killed."
Blonsky saluted me and Drake rolled his eyes but agreed. I kissed Natasha then Jessica before backing into a portal to the above ground Shield base. There I asked Coulson. "How was she taken?"
He grunted. "She was on a mission her father orchestrated and she was about to be killed when the teleporter appeared and took her."
I nodded and stepped through another portal to the location of the fight. I found May and her team there with the captured enhanced. I waved a hand and turned the metal scalpel claws the woman wore into metal fingernails.
Next I wrapped the burly man in a steel straight jacket. And finally the enhanced screamer had his vocal cords removed. I turned to May, dropping the bloody gunk I'd ripped out of the enhanced. "Tell me about this teleporter. What did he look like and where did her teleport at?"
She showed me where it happened and I nodded. "Are you ready to bring her home? I'm going to open a portal to where he teleported her to."
She cocked her guns and nodded while telling Fitz and Simmons to take the enhanced back and for Trip and Mack to join us. I opened the portal and stepped through, back in Afterlife once more.
There we were stared at by several people until May asked. "Where are we?"
I closed my eyes before saying. "Nepal, Kangchenjunga mountain range."
The people fled and several Inhumans came for stop us from proceeding. I waved a hand, sending them flying backwards until the teleporter, Gordon, arrived with their leader, Jiaying. I growled. "Return Skye now or I'll level this mountain range, killing every Inhuman I sense here!"
To match my point I shook the mountains with a mere thought. It was violent enough to have people screaming and falling until Jiaying yelled. "Enough!"
Gordon tried attacking me but I blasted his as through a wall, unconscious. "This is your last warning! No one takes my family and gets away with it!"
May asked me while holding on to my shoulder to keep from falling. "Are you sure about this approach?"
I nodded. "They can't just take whomever they want and think it's fine. We need a show of absolute force to make them comply. There's dozens of Inhumans here and none are weak. Odds are they're just the surface strength."
She nodded and told her people. "Icer's only. Take any out that attempt to fight back."
Jiaying looked pained before saying. "She's not your family, she's mine!"
I growled. "Then you should've called instead of kidnapping her. Return her now or all your people will be buried under the mountains here today!"
"Stop!"
We all turned to see Skye and another man next to her that shot electricity at me. I absorbed his powers and sent a shockwave, knocking him on his ass. Skye spoke again. "Stop both of you!"
I sighed and lowered my hands while the shaking stopped. "Are you alright Skye?"
She nodded. "I'm fine. Gordon thought k was in danger and teleported me to safety is all. There's no need to fight."
I sighed. "Very well."
I turned to Jiaying. "I apologize for hurting your people and threatening to kill you all. I don't handle threats to my family well."
Skye smiled sadly and I turned to May. "I'll tell Coulson where you all are and see to it he sends a pickup. Do you have things here?"
She nodded and I turned to Skye. "I'd stay but I have a war in Sakovia to fight against robots."
She nodded and I hugged her before portaling away to Sakovia, or where it had been before. Now there was a pit and the city was way up in the air. I sent a telepathic message to the team to let me catch it. I told them I'd be fine and I could save the city itself while they stopped Ultron and saved the people.
They changed their plans real quick and I got in place. When the city came tumbling down, I caught it mid way and used all of my strength, both magical and physical, plus my symbiote body's to lower the city to its place.
I then fixed the earth around and under it to ensure no fault lines form and make it as solid as before. After that I went to the center and removed the vibranium core and repulser engines that Ultron had made to lift the city in the first place.
With that done I summoned house elves to take the robot bodies and repair the city while the people were brought back down by helicarrier. Stark dropped next to me and said. "Nice save. Though I don't think it'll help on the PR front."
I grunted. "It wasn't your fault Tony. It was a mistake and not even yours. I warned Fury and Hall about the mind stone but Coulson wasn't there at the time. The scientist thought that with new management, more aggressive experiments could be gotten away with. He's been let go of Shield and Shield is calling it a hacker collective that stole a junked project you made to be a suit of armor around the world to protect from more invasions. As you locked it up tight, you won't be blamed for it. You will however have to declare a public apology and blame the cyber terrorists formally known as AIM."
He frowned. "Is it true though?"
I shrugged. "No, but AIM is responsible for Aldrich Killian and the power the Ten Rings gathered so quickly. They're also doing human, mutant and Inhuman experiments but they're under ground so it's been hard for Shield to nail down."
He nodded. "See, that I can live with."
Steve came over asking. "Live with what?"
I answered. "Shield's cover story. Look, the city will be fully repaired in a day and I've removed the vibranium column that started all this mess. My people are also removing any evidence of the bots so Sokovia should be fully up and running by tomorrow morning. Let's get out of here."
I sent Coulson the location of Afterlife and alerted him to the fact that it was an Inhuman settlement as well as apprised him of the current situation before heading back myself, this time with Natasha and Jessica while Drake and Blonsky returned to their worlds.
There we found May and her team tied up and Skye defending them. I raised an eyebrow and broke their bonds before turning to Jiaying and the elders. "How quickly you forget. The next time you try to bind them, I'll freeze you like a popsicle and let you live like a few dinosaurs."
Skye looked desperate so I told her. "Tell big brother the problem and I'll make it go away."
She sighed. "They're afraid all this means that Shield will come and experiment on them."
I nodded. "So you want them to have a safe home away from Shield and any chance of reprisals?"
She nodded and I turned to Jiaying. "Would you all allow me to take you somewhere no normal human can reach, not even Shield? It's a paradise there that I sometimes go myself for relaxing."
The former electric boy said. "Most of us have homes away from here. We can't leave! Besides, you'll just take our powers away like you did me!"
I rolled my eyes. "Such a drama queen. You can get your powers back by using another crystal and going through the terragan process again. As for your powers, I've no use for teleporting when I can do so myself already and I'm already immortal so there's no need for her powers. As for Skye's, I already have them and yours. The fact is, I don't need your powers and if I did, there's nothing you could do to stop me from simply taking them."
"No, I made this offer because my sister wants it this way. If you have a home elsewhere, then piss off and join a group meeting. As for the rest of you, either stay and be indexed or come with me and live on a completely different world, all your own, complete with prebuilt cities and plenty of food, water and technology to house every one of you for many lifetimes."
Jiaying said. "He lies, they're just trying to-"
I waved a hand and sent her in against her will. "There. No more idiots. So, you can go with her to the paradise planet or you can go to wherever home is on earth."
Gordon teleported to me and demanded. "Give her back!"
I nodded. "Okay."
I sent him to her and asked the rest. "Any other takers?"
The electric boy spoke up. "You just took our only means of escape."
I sighed and brought Gordon back. "There, now either go or stay because I'm getting annoyed."
Electric boy and the rest asked Gordon where he was and he told them it was a world like this one only it was empty of everyone else except Jiaying and himself and there were tons of crystals to change with as well as warehouses of food and drinks all over.
Most of the village agreed to go and I sent them there while electric boy decided to stay and had Gordon take him home with a handful of others. After he came back and left several times, gathering more who would like to go, I finally sent him and several hundred more Inhumans and legacies to the world I'd made in my free time to be an exact replica, minus the magical artifacts and people.
There were animals and insects there though so it was more like a nature habitat then anything else. When Coulson arrived, there wasn't any more people besides us left. I'd even taken and copied their books and scrolls on Inhumans and their powers before sending them in and keeping the copies for myself, Shield and Sword.
After telling Coulson their choices in private, he asked. "Do you at least know how many were left behind?"
I shrugged. "Not many and from the sounds of it they just want live normal lives. If it helps, I doubt they'll be making trouble as they all seem to be in control of their powers and will probably only use them in self defense. If not, well, Shield will need to get used to policing powered individuals anyways as the terragen in the ocean isn't going away, but instead spreading faster and faster. Soon enough all Inhumans will go through the change, whether they're ready or not. Hence my offer to awaken all mutant genes and give super soldiers to both Shield and Sword."
I sighed. "Face it Coulson, this world is changing faster and while you adapt, it is still at a controlled pace for now. You need to get ahead of it and fast. Speaking of, the training room is up in Atlantis, Atlas and all the basic Shield facilities. Use them, get it done and remember, it's not the powers that makes Shield agents different from others, it's the drive to protect everyone equally."
He nodded seriously. "I'll make sure to keep that in mind. Any other bombs you'd like to drop?"
I rolled my eyes. "Hardly bombs, but soon Stark is going to be offering all humans everywhere super soldier serum. I'll be making Gradium the primary metal of earth as well to replace steel, iron and copper. Even tin is replaceable with it. We'll need it to keep houses and utensils from breaking apart in soon to be normal people's hands."
He frowned. "How will Captain America and the avengers keep up then?"
I chuckled. "I've sent them on their own path's of strength. Trust me, Captain America and all the others will soon be way stronger and be able to keep that lead easy enough. Besides, with so many Captain America level individuals, soon enough no sane alien race would dare attack or try to conquer earth. It's still not Asgardian god level strength, but it's basic Asgardian strength. The average person on Asgard isn't Thor's level. He has bands, armor and special items to enhance his strength, as I'm sure you're aware when he was first sent here. He was never human Coulson, that was just him at an average Asgardian's power."
He grunted. "It's a step up I guess. Now all we need is the technology to catch up."
I smirked. "Easy enough. I've granted Fury access to allow scientists to study all non weapon and shielding aspects of the fleet. Everything from molecular synthesizers to wormhole travel and FTL drives. Soon enough humanity will reach an almost modern era for Asgard. The rest will depend on how they accept magic as the Asgardian's combine magic and technology is their works."
He looked a bit surprised. "So you're pulling back the veil?"
I nodded. "A bit, but I'll net be giving access to nanite, potentia, or weapons and Shield technology to the public. Shield and Sword are to keep that private as the earths super powers would destroy the world in a giant power grab thinking their way is best. That's actually another job Fury and you both have. With the knowledge of aliens out there, it's up to you to use that to bring the world to a more unified front. A world council that can actually speak for the world. Have the countries work together as a cohesive whole to build a singular super power instead of a divided world of many countries. One world united."
He grunted. "You don't ask for much."
I chuckled. "No, indeed I don't. But luckily you're a super spy agency with the backing of three of the world's largest companies and a bottomless amount of resources, spies and assassins. Get it done right Coulson, and you'll be the only federal agency that matters. No more CIA, Mossad, MI-anything or evening separate military's. The alphabet soup of agencies will spell out Shield and Sword."
I left him there thinking on that while mine, Stark's and several companies tied to the governments supporting Shield began a technology race that would not end. Faster than ever before advancements were made in medicine, travel, biology, chemistry, maths and all the basic knowledge that made up the earth's technological capabilities.
New elements were discovered every day while the world went through a massive Age of Enlightenment. The world news in the mean time, backed by general Ross who had taken his flak for being the one behind the Hulk experiments, had been a leader in the forefront about how the Avengers needed to be controlled and contained.
He pointed out not just Tony's involvement in the Ultron project, but my actually catching a city and repairing in over night as serious oversight issues about us being too dangerous to control and how we must be contained and stopped.
To y then went on record using the cover story and honestly saying it was a scrapped idea he'd locked away and was then hacked and broken into by terrorists with evil agendas. He further admitted that he took responsibility in handling the situation by destroy it and all the project's possible issues in Sakovia where he then pointed out that not one person died and while a few were injured, thanks to Shield's quick response, they were immediately healed and the city was not only repaired, but all of it's building materials was replaced with Gradium and in fact made it the most stable and spun city on the planet now.
In fact, after his announcement, I released a press release offering all homes, apartments, hotels and businesses in New York a discounted upgrade depending on their price range and size of the building. All to be replaced with Gradium and special woods, cement and wiring that included crystal technology.
I already had the elves upgrading the Sanctums as the Gradium gathered and stored magic and energies inside the ward stones below more efficiently. The ancient one had agreed and even Kathmandu was being upgraded.
All my own buildings and warehouses all across the world were the first to do so and for the first time in ages I'd given my house elves permission to breed their numbers to ten thousand. With so much and such powerful magic constantly feeding them, they hadn't aged a day since I got them, in the past ten billion years.
They had however stocked an ungodly amount of magical herbs, magical beast products and even magic enhanced lumber that had begun growing in my realm. My company spit out a Frosthaven construction company so fast you'd think it was a cheap whore.
Even with all the elves it would still take a year to replace even just the buildings and homes on Manhattan island alone. I'd given my elves a shifter power to look like anyone they wished and they in turn made up the construction company's work force. It generated so much profits in the meantime, I'd probably surpassed Tony as the richest man on earth as people were lining up for contracts.
I did outsource the paperwork to all those willing to sign contracts, making thousands of jobs as more people wanted their houses upgraded. I wasn't spending a dime on materials as I was in fact the sole producer of them and since Tony chose a different route, upgrading roads, cars and transportation with arc reactor technology as alternative fuel, I had no competition.
Those lucky few who were still alive and had stock in my company's, were made rich overnight as so much product was released. Stark and I were at the top of the stock market as our companies were worth more that Amazon, google and all big oil companies combined.
We had a plan to release the super soldier serums in five years once my elves numbers have caught up to large enough proportions to start changing all houses and constructions to our upgraded materials. Manhattan was first, then the whole US and the world from there on.
No one would be homeless as we were both making a giant donation and improvement on the habitat for humanity charity. My bots would go in and help build free housing all over the world for the homeless and even off those living in crowded cities a chance to live in them all around the world with passports and tickets provided.
All child care facilities and those adopting for the extra income would be stopped as well since the homeless people would be cleaned up and given the chance to adopt as well as free jobs at the many businesses my company would be branching out to in all third world countries.
The people of Wakanda didn't need help if memory serves but they also wouldn't necessarily help either so Africa was the first place my company went in and did it's job. Bots took out the warlords and destroyed their weapons while Shield replaces their leadership with more diplomatic people.
The people already had food and water and now with entire cities being erected, they'd have a more modern approach. As for harming the planet, all the waste was cleaned automatically so places like processing plants, trash heaps and recycling plants were turned into forested areas with many trees being planted.
Forests were even erected in the Sahara and Nevada desserts as special drought resistant seeds grew them quickly. I made hundreds of ward stones, filling them with magic and tossing them in the oceans like a net hooked to a giant list and breeding spell. To massively populate the oceans with fish and other sea life.
I did the same to the rainforests and savanna's to ensure entire species had chances to repopulate. I added the same to many farms all over the world for all sorts of barnyard animals. It was a lot of work and cost a great deal of time and energy to accomplish to ensure humanity didn't ruin the earth before it had a chance to spread out amongst the stars.
I'd done similar things before and now I've done the same here. With the human race evolving and changing at a faster and faster rate, the world needs to grow with it or be destroyed in it's wake.
Adding to the fertility and breeding spells, I added on a spell for hardening. It was basic and keyed to the earth itself, magically making the rocks harder and more compact in a way so as to prevent the powered individuals from destroying the earth with so many super powers being unlocked constantly.
The quake devices were spread out all over the earth and sea to prevent supernatural destabilization of the ecosystem and environment. There were problem areas but baring the Bermuda Triangle and the waters over Atlantis, the real lost city destroyed by the celestials and guarded by their old gods, the rest of the planet was safe from any major disaster issues for now.
While all the basic paperwork and environmental changes were going on, I did get a desperate call from king Eitri. I portaled to him and found the forge had gone dark and he himself was severely injured while the Dwarves around us lay dead but still warm.
I frowned. "What happened here?!!"
He grunted while holding up his now metal fists. "Thanos! The mad Titan used my people as blackmail so I'd make a gauntlet powerful enough to house the infinity stones inside."
I waved a hand, shattering the metal on his hands and healing them while he cried out in pain. When I was done, I turned sadly to his people while he stood up and asked. "Is there nothing you can do?"
I sighed. "There is, but it doesn't come without a price and a painful one at that."
I took out a vial of completed modified extremis and injected it into myself. Grunting, I spewed a bit of fire as it supercharged my human DNA's healing process. Even the DNA and powers I'd gotten from Logan weren't as fast at healing. Though while both were faster, neither seemed to be as thorough as Deadpool's.
Grunting, I raised both my hands as multiple beams of powerful healing and necromantic powers hit each of the downed dwarves. It lasted three minutes before they started to recover and stand up as I turned to more and more of them. Soon all but the king had been revived and healed fully as his nose was still broken.
I turned to him as I'd finished. "It is done. I need to rest now. While dwarf souls and bodies can't compare to reviving the avatar of a goddess, they still take a heavy toll."
Eitri asked. "How can I ever repay you my friend? Name it and it's yours!"
I grunted. "When Thor comes looking for a weapon to kill Thanos, make him one, and tell him what happened here, all of it."
King Eitri nodded. "You have my word I'll make sure he knows Thanos's crimes and your efforts."
I sighed and opened a portal home before waving goodbye and stepping through. If not for the Extremis, even with my powerful physical body, I'd be exhausted right now. Healing, at least that sort, took a shit ton out of even the collective of avatars and was spared for only emergencies or convincing others to join it.
While it wasn't much to do so to humans, dwarves, especially the size of the ones here, were far hardier and needed so much more to rekindle their vast lifeforce. Even now while I wasn't exhausted to the point of collapse, I certainly wasn't doing much else for a while as I needed to focus on other things, including taking in more primordial essence I'd gathered.
A week later in a certain private training room in the mirror dimension on a desolate planet in the Black galaxy. I'd gone back home in case I accidentally broke a galaxy in my powering up. I took out a special jar filled with a bluish substance that appeared to be a form of magical water. In fact it sparkled as if filled with entire galaxies which in part, it did or could create anyways, in gods.
I lifted it and like a jug, opened it enough to down a great gulp of it. Power perfumes my being as my inner galaxies began to grow once more. The half finished one continued and it didn't stop there. After I had five galaxies, I had a better idea and put it inside my inner galaxy and opened the lid a bit.
Essence flowed out non stop as five became ten, fifteen, twenty, and twenty-five before I felt I was at my limit and I was forced to stop or risk exploding. I felt myself at the mid range of primal god realm I imagine one hundred being the peak before one steps into Godking.
Then it begins to get really hard to advance as two hundred billion galaxies make up a universe at the very least. I've no real idea at the moment what the peak is but to even measure myself against those beings right now is folly. Not to mention the primordial Gods and goddesses that literally make reality's and universes.
I do however understand Zeus's former power as a beginning godking and Odin's as a mid stage godking spoke volumes about the differences in power in the outside.i also now understood what the infinity stones were in a way. They were cheats of sorts to strengthen the body and provide someone with a link to the primordial essence of the marvel universe.
A sort of free power boost for those needing to break through the barrier between realms and a reward for earning them. I want able to use my newfound power inside this reality thanks to the rules set by the primordial gods and goddesses, but it was still good to know it was there for when the battle of the gods began, though I'm really hoping I'll be much stronger before that battle ever takes place.
