章 234: Entering the Academy (1/4)

The group of students stood there for a couple of seconds, wondering what to do, until Alexander reappeared and screamed: "Get going!" He left as quick as he arrived, leaving the exhausted students in a stunned silence. The silence, however, was soon broken by dozens of short inhales and the tightening of bow strings. A mix of dark red and bright blue life essence drifted through the Knight's Academy's dark doorway. Eugene's eyes went wide and he pushed his glasses up as he bellowed: "Get down!"

Those few, slow individuals who had not yet descended the stairs were assaulted by a collection of projectiles ranging anywhere from arrows to javelins, all with blunt tips, all launched with enough force to crack bone. All victims were flung down the stairs. Jackal grabbed everyone he could and dragged them down the stairs, taking a few heavy blows to his arms in the process.
