Litian turned and left. Every step weighing her down as she walked out of the camp area to the frontline. Sleekly she signaled the troops behind her and the soldiers arranged themselves into lines and followed behind her. Then they walked forward, each step a reminder of what is ahead of them, each step pulling them farther away of their chances of returning, each them a greater mountain on pressure is placed on them, each step a reminder of the home they have to protect, the families they have to protect, the kingdom they have to protect. Each step built up their courage as the soft breeze of death floated through the air caressing their necks, threatening to stifle them. They marched in unison, thousands of feet marching to the beat of their thumping hearts, thousands of feet marching towards the battle. Thousands of feets ready to sacrifice all.
Litian raised her hand and the rows upon rows of soldiers stopped as they noticed the figure that stood in front of them. A man in heavy armor stared down at Litian with a scoff.
"A woman in the fields? It seemed that someone resorted to soothing their throats for attention," the man snickered. The rows of soldiers behind him roared in agreement.
"Power is not defined by gender, it is by will and continuous persevering to victory," Litian retorted without batting an eye at the man's shameful comment. "But as strong as make yourself to be, egotistical men aren't appeasing."
"Ah, please stop with the poetry readings," the man laughed leaning in the Litian's face. Blue jewels of greed shine through the slits in his helmet, "how 'bout you head home with me? Make yourself useful for once."
Litian stared into the man's eyes not daring to look away, "as built up and powerful as you make yourself to, egotistical men aren't that appealing," Litian jabbed a sly smile spreading on her face, "a man that shames a woman in order for her to please him, is not even worth being born with a muscular face."
The man sneered, his eyes seeming to shoot crystals at Litian, "we'll we who's crying t by one of my concubines in exchange for her life in the end. It's time to stop hiding behind your rose facade, and face reality."
"With pleasure," Litian grinned and raised up her hand in unison with the man, "ATTACK!"
