It had been two months since I opened my brothel the district that I sold to the family excluding the brothel which I retained sole ownership of is bustling with people but the profits of the whole district combined don't come close to heaven's gift that lead to many of the senior members of the Hydra family demanding that the family should seize ownership but I have the backing of the Grand elder, lady Esther and the reluctant lord Eric keeping the rest of them in line but their protection didn't count when it came to imperial nobles which I had to face on my own because of the push back from the family they refused to help me even imperial lord Victor Crowley was making moves against me in my own brothel in a apartment he rented out while pretending to shield me from other imperial nobles but working to take it for himself.
While it may seem bleak that just means that everything is working successfully at Heaven's gift as the whole staff are flesh golems that are loyal to me I was able to make even more money by simply hearing what people talked about in front of them and used that information against them although there were few minor incidents were people were trying to kidnap some golems but due to repeated failures and the kidnappers never returning such incidents eventually stopped but the more recent problem I'm facing is a price from another kingdom in the empire who claims to have fallen in love with one of rank three golems named Vanessa but she refuses to leave with him and he is blaming me standing in front of my store.
foreign prince:"I Prince Adam sketch of the sketch kingdom have fallen in love with the radiant Vanessa of the rank three section of the Heaven's gift who cannot leave here because she is under a spirit contract with the vile and evil youth of the Hydra family who owns this establishment I beseech the local authorities to put end to his reign of terror and end his curse upon these women!"
Me:"So Prince Adam wants to commit daylight robbery under the guise of love and nobility?"
Prince Adam:"That is not what I said you demon!"
Me:"But that is what you implied you never sought me out yet denounce me even though you never made an offer to buy her it isn't illegal to own slaves in the empire I even bet you own a few if let you get away with your distortion of the truth you will go to next store and liberate a new shirt or perhaps a new sword that has caught your fancy"
The crowd which was originally moved by the impassioned speech began to ponder the implications muttering to one another.
Prince Adam:"I would never steal..."
Me:"Really then allow me to demonstrate Prince Adam I fallen in love with your money I ask that you set it free so we can be together!"
The once on the fence crowd breaks out into laughter and jeers while the prince's face is red with humiliation.
Prince Adam:"How dare you belittle my love for miss Vanessa"
Me:"I had enough of your hypocrisy I won't even entertain any offers to take any of women of my establishment ever again thanks to you let be known to all that their lives will chained to the Heaven's gift and to me forever thanks to the actions of this arrogant prince!"
I never had any intention of selling any of the flesh golems but this gave me a good reason to no longer pretend to consider offers out of courtesy it was also a well known fact that I had no intention of selling the Heaven's gift but I said that they were tied to me which is true because they are golems I created but this would also make it impossible for someone to use their authority to confiscate them from me as even gods can't nullify a spirit contract which is why they hate spirits but aren't upfront about it like they are for demons but I doubt people will stop trying to take the Heaven's gift from me.
