Lillian was awoken with a loud shriek that seemed to pierce through her eardrums. She gasped awake, looking around the room.
To say it was a mess is a very mild observation. The entire room looked like a hurricane came and attacked everything in sight. With a wave of her hand, the doors slammed shut but that movement alone caused her to slump to the ground again.
Panicking, Lillian tried to turn but the pain in her neck stung so she had very limited movements, there isn't enough strength in her legs to stand up but the mirror was just a few feet from her.
She looked into the mirror, voice not coming out of her throat. She couldn't see herself.
What happened? She touched her face and she could feel the flesh on her skin still.
After she patted her face, Lillian touched her hair to see that it is brown and curly. She released a breath of relief.
She just isn't in that body.
