Charlotte Monica POV
I woken up first.
"Girls, wake up! Should we go swimming on the beach? You know we still have time til noon?! Haist! Mga tulog mantika." Paglingon ko ulit sa kanila ay tulog parin ang dalawang kasama ko sa loob ng tent. Gumalaw naman 'yon kanina ah?! Ako naman ay nag-aayos ng mga gamit na dadalhin sa open cottage namin sa labas. "Angelique, wake up!"
"Uhmm." Ungol lang tinugon nya. Anong oras naman kaya ito natulog, para ayaw pang magising?
Sunod kong ginising ulit si Erica. "Erica! Wake up! Tara sa beach."
Gano'n din tugon nya. "Uhmmm, later Charl, I still sleepy."
"Bahala nga kayo, basta ako maliligo ako sa beach." Hindi ko na sila pinilit pa. Lumabas na ako ng tent at naglakad patungo sa open cottage namin.
I saw the boys having a chitchat. Really? At this early in the morning? Ano naman kaya ang mga pinag-uusapan nila? Nang makalapit ako, agad naman nila akong binati ng,
"Good morning, Charl." Naunang bumati si Kuya Roy.
"Good morning din Kuya Roy." Tugon ko naman. Tapos lahat sila sumunod na.
"Where's Erica and Angelique?!" Tanong sa akin ni Brian.
"Still sleeping."
"You sound disappointed, Charlotte." Agaw naman ni Thirdy sa usapan namin ni Brian, sya naman kinausap ko.
"Well, I wanna go swim," Hindi pa ako tapos magsalita inaya na agad ako ni Thirdy.
"Then, let's go?!" Tumayo sya at lumapit sa akin. "I'll accompany you."
"Eh?" Is this a good idea, right?!
"I'll go, too." Chris declared. Then maybe this is a not so good idea.
"Alright, let's go!" Wala naman mangyayari, right?! Maliligo lang. Okay din siguro 'to para gumaan loob ni Chris kay Thirdy. Crossed-finger.
Nauna na silang dalawa sa dalampasigan, nilapag ko pa kasi ng maayos ang gamit ko. "Hey, wait for me!" Hinabol ko naman agad sila.
Nanatili lang si Brian at Enrique sa open cottage. Well, actually busy sila kumain. Lol.
Nang maabutan ko sila nasa likuran parin nila ako, bigla naman silang lumingon sa akin. "Kumain ka muna kaya?" "Maybe you should eat first, Charlotte." Sabay pa nilang sabi. So I eyed the both of them. Tingin sa kaliwa, tingin sa kanan. Sabay din silang humagalpak sa tawa. Natawa yata sila sa reaction ko. Nagkatinginan naman silang dalawa. Sabay ulit silang tuwama. Alright! Ako na ang na out of place. Lol. Syempre nakitawa na rin ako. Hahaha.
"Are you two, twins? You both doing the same thing. Haha"
"No we're not!" Sabay na naman sila.
"Hahahaha." Tawang-tawa talaga ako. I guess magiging magkaibigan sila in no time.
Sumulong na kami sa dagat, nagtampisaw sa mababang tubig, naghahabulan, nagselfie pa kaming tatlo at panay tawa sa jokes ni Chris, hanggang sa napagod kami. Nagpahinga muna kami sa buhangin. Napaggigitnaan nila akong dalawa. Thirdy's on my right, Chris' on my left side. Nakatukod ang dalawang braso ko sa magkabilang gilid ko as my legs just stretched on the white sand. I glanced on my right side, I glanced on my left side. Hanggang sa nagkwentuhan kami kung paano nabuo ang pagkakaibigan namin ni Chris, he got curious daw kasi. So Chris tell it all to Thirdy, kasama din sa kwento nya si Erica at Jeane.
Naramdaman ko nalang na may tao sa likod namin, nang lumingon ako, si Angelique pala. Kabababa nya lang ang hawak nyang phone.
"You didn't wake us up." Akusa pa nya.
"Of course, I did. Tulog mantika ka eh. Kayong dalawa ni Erica." Napalingon din ang dalawang lalaki na kasama ko.
"Hey, Erica. Morning." Bati ni Chris sa kanya. Well, Thirdy just glance at her.
"Hey, Chris. morning too." Tugon naman ng kaibigan ko.
"What? Talaga? She's gawking at me. Biglang may transition, kay Chris bumati, sa akin biglang what?! Shucks Erica.
"Yeah. Kaya nga sinamahan na lang nila ako dito." Sabi ko pa kay Erica. "I think it's to go back to the cottage, it's been awhile we've been swim." At saka mataas na ang araw. Hindi ako nakapaglagay ng sunscreen or sunblock.
"What? Not yet!" She protested. She wants to stop us going back.
So I turn back looking at Chris. "Chris, pwede mo bang samahan si Erica?.. Please?" Paawa ko pa.
"Alright." Hay salamat. Pumayag.
"Saan nga pala si Angelique?" Baling ko ulit kay Erica.
"She's eating breakfast." Tugon nya.
"Actually, hindi pa ako kumakain ng breakfast." Nagutom na ako.
"Then you should go. We'll be fine."
Tinatahak na namin pabalik ang cottage. Syempre hindi ako mag-eexpect na tahimik lang itong si Thirdy.
"I'm cool with Chris and he's cool with me. I guess, we're friends now."
"You think so?" He just nodded. "That's great then."
"Yes. Can I ask you something? It's not like I'm pressuring you, Charlotte. But I just want to know."
"What is it, Thirdy?" Sana..
"Do you like me too, Charlotte?"
I was a bit surprised though I'm half expecting this question, alam kong isang araw, he will ask me. "I-I.."
"I'm sorry, you don't have to answ.."
"No. I mean, I want to answer your question, and I want to be honest with you. With all the consequences and/or the conditons, and you know that." Tumango lang sya. "I'm young, I have crushes, but this one is different and honestly, I don't know, what I should say, or think or how should I react. Thirdy, don't get me wrong." Napatigil na kami sa gitna ng paglalakad namin. "It's just that, I'm young. I like you just the way you are but not in romantic way but.." Hirap na akong mag-explain but I'm trying to make him understand. I know he will understand.
"I get it. Trust me, I get it and I understands you. Don't worry, Charlotte. I still like you exactly the first time." He interrupted me, before I explains furthermore, maybe he really got it.
"The first time?" Wait, what?
Well, that's my secret, not to tell." He wiggled his eyebrows and then he laughed.
"Thirdy!" Sinapak ko ang braso nya, iyong mahina lang. "You're such a."
"I'm such a what, Charlotte?!"
"Oh, nothing." He just grinned at me. Tapos hinila na ako pabalik sa open cottage.
Nang makabalik na kami, ito naman ang song na naka-play sa mp3 ni Angelique. "Oh my, my favourite." Sigaw ko.
"Is it?" He just want to make sure that I'm talking about the song.
