She took disinfectant, gauze, and a tourniquet from the first aid kit, disinfected the wound, then wrapped the gauze and tourniquet, and managed to stem the bleeding.

"All right," Sophia said.

Pearson leaned over and saw that the blood had stopped. He nodded and got out of the car.

Sophia also got out of the car. Her hands were covered with blood. It looked scary.

Kevin was looking over at her. Sophia hurriedly turned her back so that he couldn't see the blood on her hands. Then she turned to the tourists and said, "Do you have water? I want to wash my hands."

Katherine got a bottle of water out of the bus for Sophia. She was about to offer to help her when Pearson came over and took the water, "I'll do it!"

He unscrewed the cap and tilted the bottle. Sophia stretched out her hands. The cool water poured over her hands, slowly washing the blood off her hands.
