"I won't lie, Sarah's condition is still serious. She's in a coma, fighting. We need to fight too so that no other woman reaches the state where Sarah is."

dream_ash By no means I'm against tampons. However, I wish people are aware of the risks that comes with it.
Some of the important points I noted are-
1. Read the label to check the material used. 100 percent cotton tampons provide the lowest risk, if any risk at all.
2. Sadly the tampon had not changed much after the tampon epidemic in 1980's. All the companies did was to put a warning in the small letters. Have you ever noticed it?
3. use for 6-8 hours max. Do not exceed it. And if you have any UTI, or vaginal history consult a doctor before using it.
4. Talk about it. Read about it. I was surprised to know that there are girls and women who still die because of this. Many even had to go through amputation and some with failed organs.
A mere tampon decided their life!?!?!?
