章 51: Chapter 44- New allies (Part 1)

"Is it over?" Usopp asked, shivering a little, while the group exited their hiding spot. "Huh? What are these tiny humans doing here?", Brogy asked while tilting his head in confusion.

"We came here to talk with you two, but since you just ended a century-long duel, I don't think this is the right time. How about we celebrate first?" Luffy replied. "Gurarara, I like him", Brogy said. "Then it's decided! But let's go for a hunt first!" Dorry announced as he went to collect his sword.

The group started hunting for dinosaurs, as they were a rare type of meat for obvious reasons. And like that night came and the party started inside of Brogy's fish's ribcage. "UGH! Do we really have to cook them like that?!" Sanji grasped his heart, as he got physically hurt from seeing one of the rarest types of meat getting grilled on a fire with no seasonings.

"It's their choice, Sanji. Personally, I don't see a problem", Luffy said as he swallowed a cooked dinosaur leg. "THAT'S BECAUSE YOU EAT EVERYTHING WITH NO PROBLEM!" Sanji yelled while tears came out of his eyes. "I agree with Luff-" "SHUT UP, MOSS HEAD, YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!" Sanji interrupted Zoro who came to support his captain.

"Hahaha, we have a lively bunch this time!" Dorry laughed. "Anyway, are you ready for a surprise?", Luffy asked the giants. "Oh? What surprise?" Brogy got curious. Luffy took two stones and threw them towards the volcano. A second later, a huge eruption happened, and it looked beautiful.

The bright orange magma flying everywhere while contrasting against the pitch-black night sky made a picture that everyone present would engrave into their memories.

Unfortunately, that moment didn't last as two people teleported behind Luffy, and they looked like they're fresh out of mercy.

"Um... can we talk about this?", Luffy asked while looking for a way out. *BAM* "does this answer your question?" Law sked as Luffy's head suddenly grew a bruise the size on and apple. "That hurt... It wasn't that big of a deal, I wanted to help them celebrate the end of the duel with a giant firework, and if I gave the signal for you two to move, the volcano would have erupted sooner and we wouldn't have been able to pull it off"

"*Sigh* when you said we needed to hold the volcano for up to a couple of days, I thought it would be because of the fighting. When I saw the two giants stop fighting, I expected you to send us the signal. Instead, you made us battle the volcano a couple more hours without telling us beforehand!". Luffy sat on his knees and accepted the scolding with his head down.

Laughter erupted as the party continued.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Dorry asked Luffy as the party ended. "Oh right! I want to recruit you two", Luffy answered. "Gurarara! You are very nice and all, but we both were pirate captains who terrorized the see! If you want to recruit us, you'll need to prove yourself" Brogy stated.

"So be it. How about a duel? I know giants love duels. If I win, you two join my fleet, if you win, I'll do whatever you say for a whole day"

"First you need to prove you can handle yourself. Please don't get offended, but we giants are way stronger than most humans. We don't want to bully you", Dorry said.

"I see.... Is this enough?" Luffy said as he released a little of his conquerors haki. The two giant's shuddered. Not from fear, but from excitement.

"Gurarara! You passed! Let's go fight!" Brogy yelled as he and Dorry got up and picked up their weapons. "Now? don't you want to rest?" Luffy asked. "A good fight doesn't wait for anyone! And you got me all excited so how can I just sit while my blood is boiling?" Brogy said.

"I guess you're right. Let's get started then".
