''What is funny?" Maxim hesitated for a moment before he met her gaze without looking away this time.
"That you hide like this at my place to prank me. Do you find that funny?" Diana asked.
She grabbed a tissue and wiped her hand.
Maxim shook his head once.
She frowned.
''I was not trying to prank you,'' he pointed his chin towards the tissue in her hand, ''This is the reason why I sat there.''
She looked at him quietly.
Maxim took it as a cue to explain further, ''I was afraid that you won't eat if you know that I cooked them.''
''So, you know...?'' Diana chuckled, ''That's good, anyway. Since you know, you should leave now.''
She did not spare a gaze at him as she turned around and walked towards her room.
But before she could walk further away from him, Maxim grabbed her hand.
His strong arms wrapped around her waist as he hugged her from the back.
