The trees sway to the direction of the cold yet warm breeze. The grass whistles unto the Earth while the Pidgeys spread their wings as they soar upon the deep blue sky. The skies are thin as a flower's beauty blooms. A description of this perfect day. Me and my Pokemons, together with my friends and their Pokemons head east towards Macropolis city. The day has just begun and we set off to new heights.
We arrived at route three, a silent route filled with deep forests and tall sturdy trees. Riolu, my Pokemon partner was sitting on my shoulder, the time was young when Glade observed my Riolu. It didn't stay in its Pokeball, just like my other Pokemons and the other Pokemons belonging to my other friends.
Glade decided to ask me about Riolu. Why wasn't he staying in his Pokeball?
"Kalem, why won't you send Riolu back to his Pokeball?" Glade queried. "Well the truth is, Riolu hates Pokeballs. He's not used on staying inside his Pokeball." I explained thoroughly. Zhery and Camellia started to join in our conversation as they also noticed Riolu outside his Pokeball. "But why is Riolu not used on staying inside his Pokeball?" Zhery queried.
"Simple, Riolu wants to see things I see, he wants to travel along my side and not in his Pokeball," I explained. "That's weird, I've never seen a Pokemon hating to stay inside a Pokeball," Camellia observed.
As the day got older, two young men came rushing to us. They were holding their Pokemons in their hands, it seems to me that their Pokemons were somehow defeated. So I decided to ask what was going on. The two young men told us that they're Pokemons were defeated by two strong trainers.
"Our Pokemons lost easily! I've never seen strong trainers like them!" One of the young man explained.
"Yeah! Those two strong trainers love tag battles. They defeated my Zigzagoon and my friend's Geodude like a piece of cake!" The second young man explained.
"Strong trainers? Where? I want to battle them!" I beamed with determination.
"Stop acting like a little kid Kalem! We have a bigger fish to fry!" Zhery sighed.
"Macropolis city can wait! I want to battle those two trainers!" I beamed with eagerness.
"But you need a tag or a partner if you want to challenge those two trainers," Glade spoke. "Oh yeah, your right! But who?" I wondered. "Me Kalem! I can be your tag partner if you want." Camellia volunteered. "Really!? Thanks Camellia!" I yelped with joy as I asked the two young men where I can find the two strong trainers.
"Both of them can be found at the end of route three." the first young man explained.
"They can be found beside the brook which separates route three from route four." the other young man added.
"Then what are we waiting for! Let's go!" I beamed as I started to rush but someone pulled my t-shirt from behind. "Calm down Kalem! You don't need to run." Zhery advised. "Alright fine... We'll walk." I said as the two young men carried on with their business and as the four of us head to the end of route three.
"Come on Camellia, I know why you want to battle with Kalem!" Zhery's eyebrows waggled as she whispered to Camellia's ear.
"For my Pokemon to gain battle experience of course!" Camellia charmed.
"Really? You just want to hang out with Kalem right?" Zhery teased. "Umm I guess...your right... hee hee." Camellia said as her face blushed.
As we reach the end of the third route, we saw the brook that the two young men were talking about. The four of us saw two trainers just about my age. One of them had white hair, the other one had black hair. Just by they're looks, you can really say that those two trainers have profound battling skills.
We saw them having a tag battle, or a battle wherein two trainers team up to defeat another pair of trainers. I was in awe of their great battling skills. "You sure you still want to battle them?" Glade reassured. "Of course! I want to have a tag battle with them! Plus, it will help me train for my second gym battle at Macropolis city." I answered.
After watching the defeat of the two trainers against the two trainers with black and white hair, I rushed to them and requested for a battle.
"Hi there! My name is Kalem, and this is Riolu and I want to have a battle!" I said rushingly.
"Good day Kalem, I am connoisseur Alfred." the trainer with the black hair introduced.
"And I am connoisseur Walrith! Both of us were the ones who made up the connoisseur tag battle evaluation challenge!" Walrith introduced.
At first I thought that they were a bunch of rude trainers, but they're actually good and polite people."Conna what now?" I queried.
"Haha! Its called connoisseur!" Alfred enunciated and corrected.
"Connoisseurs are people who evaluate the relationships between people and Pokemon!" Walrath explained. "But excuse me sir, what is the Connoisseur tag battle evaluation challenge?" Camellia queried politely.
"The Connoisseur Tag Battle Evaluation Challenge or C.T.B.E.C. for short, is a challenge for trainers. Through the C.T.B.E.C. We connoisseurs can evaluate your Pokemon's bond with you." Walrith explained.
"Oh now I get it! You two reminded me of a gym in the Unova region." Glade said.
"Oh you mean the Striaton gym in the Unova region?" Alfred queried.
"Yeah! The gym leaders there are connoisseurs." Glade agreed. "Wait, you've been to the Unova region?" Zhery queried unto Glade.
"Yeah! It was three years ago when we went to the Unova region. One of the gym leaders there even has a Pansear!" Glade explained. "Wait, there are more than one gym leader in the Striaton gym?" Camellia queried. "Yes, they're three to be specific!" Glade answered.
"So, Kalem dear boy! We accept your request." Alfred agreed. "Indeed! Now choose your tag partner and we can start the C.T.B.E.C." Walrith instructed.
Glade volunteered to be the referee of the C.T.B.E.C. "Each tag will only use one Pokemon! The battle ends when either tags have no more Pokemon left to battle with." Glade proclaimed.
"Alright! Come on out Persian!" Alfred sent out.
"You too Persian!" Walrith sent out. We noticed that both Connoisseurs used a Persian but their colors were somehow different. "Huh? Two persians with different colors?" Camellia asked. "Hey Irys, why are the colors different?" I queried.
"I guess that's my cue!" [Persian! The classy cat Pokemon! A normal type. PERSIAN has six bold whiskers that give it a look of toughness. The whiskers sense air movements to determine what is in the POKéMON's surrounding vicinity. It becomes docile if grabbed by the whiskers.]
[Persian! Alola form! The classy cat Pokemon. A dark type. PERSIAN has six bold whiskers that give it a look of toughness. The whiskers sense air movements to determine what is in the POKéMON's surrounding vicinity. It becomes docile if grabbed by the whiskers.] Irys the Pokedex explained.
"So that means, Alfred's Persian is the normal Persian!" I observed.
"And Walrith's Pokemon is the Alolan Persian!" Camellia added.
"Fennekin, I choose you!" Camellia chose Fennekin to battle with. While I chose Scyther.
"Alright! Three Two One! Battle begin!" Glade shouted.
"You may take the first move!" The connoisseurs offered.
"Alright then! Camellia you and Fennekin go first!"I offered.
"Alright Kalem, Fennekin! Use fire fang on the Alolan Persian!"
"Scyther use sword dance!"
"Alolan Persian! Dodge the attack then use shadow claw!"
"Persian use Power gem!"
.....
....
.....
*Alolan Persian was able to dodge fire fang! It was able to hit Fennekin with Shadow claw!*
*Persian's power gem missed!"
"You have a fast Scyther my boy!" Alfred complemented. "Thanks! Now Scyther use sword dance once more!"
"Alolan Persian! Use Fury swipes on Fennekin!"
"Fennekin use fire fang on one of Alolan Persian's foot!"
"Persian use Fury swipes too on Scyther!"
*Scyther was hit with Fury swipes*
*Fennekin used fire fang and bit one of Alolan Persian's leg, making Alolan Persian unable to use Fury swipe.*
Scyther was hit with the powerful Fury Swipes but he didn't care. He stood up and glared into Persian's eyes. But Persian didn't get intimidated, Persian was still confident.
"Scyther use wing attack on Alolan Persian!"
"Time to switch foes! Fennekin use ember on the Persian!"
" Alolan Persian Dodge th- What the?" Scyther's amazing speed was able to hit Alolan Persian even the connoisseur couldn't finish his command.
"Persian dodge the ember!"
*Ember was dodged by Persian!*
"Persian! Use Quick attack on Fennekin!"
"Alolan Persian, shadow claw on Scyther right now!"
"Scyther use double team!"
"Fennekin dodge the ember!"
*Scyther's evasiveness rose! Alolan Persian's accuracy fell and missed!*
*Fennekin was unable to dodge ember*
"Fennekin are you alright?"
Fen Fen! Fennkin smiled at Camellia as she stood up.
"Good work Scyther! Time to switch foes! Now use wing attack all over again towards Persian!"
"Fennekin use fire fang on alolan Persian!"
"Persian!"
*Persian was unable to dodge!*
"Alolan Persian! Use shadow claw on Fennekin!"
*Fennekin's attack missed as Alolan Persian swoops Fennekin!*
Persian and Fennekin were still able to stand. Suddenly Scyther's Scythes began to glow red as it was about to unleash a powerful attack!
"Persian! Dodge it quick!" The connoisseur ordered before Scyther unleashes the attack. But Persian was too late, Scyther has unleashed his attack towards the Persian. The red Scythes sliced Persian in a diagonal formation forming an X!
"Kalem! Scyther just learned X-Scissor!" Irys the Pokedex explained.
"That's great Scyther!" I complimented as Scyther looked back and smile.
"Fennekin?" Camellia wondered as Fennekin's body was covered with flames! Fennekin rushed to the Alolan Persian hitting it hard with the veil of flames around it. "Camellia! Fennekin learned Flame charge!" Irys the Pokedex explained. "Really! Great work Fennekin!" Fennekin smiled back at Camellia.
"Persian and Alolan Persian are unable to battle! The winner is Camellia and Kalem!" Glade proclaimed.
"Congratulations to the both of you! Both of you have a unique style of battling!" Alfred Complemented.
"Now its evaluation time!" Walrith deadpanned.
"Based on your battling performance, Scyther's attack is indeed powerful. Its Speed has a very high stat! While its defense is a little lower than the attack." Alfred exclaimed.
"While Fennekin on the other hand has a powerful attack and a high defense but its speed is lower," Walrith explained.
"And now for the tag partner evaluation! Kalem and Camellia, both of you worked with excellence! Both of you have displayed awesome teamwork as well! What a showdown Extravaganza!" Alfred explained.
Me and Camellia beamed with happiness as we heard the results of the connoisseur's evaluation. The four of us crossed the Brook while waving back at the two Connoisseurs.
"Goodbye Alfred! Goodbye Walrith!" The four of us shouted as we continued with our journey. "Goodbye fellow children! Good luck with your adventures! Best wishes! bon Voyage!" The connoisseurs greeted as we walked farther from them and parted ways.
Finally, before the moon has awaken, we made it to route four! Another step closer to Macropolis city.
"So, How's battling with Kalem?" Zhery queried softly. "It feels fun and exciting to work alongside Kalem!" Camellia answered as her cheeks turned slightly red. "Route four here we come!" I beamed and jumped with joy as the journey continues.
White feathery clouds dotted the azure blue sky as the sun became beatifically, casting a golden glow upon the Earth. The forest hums with Pokemons all around me. I twirl about, gazing up at the canopy, searching for the pidgeys that sing sweetly.
The sun breaks through the cracks, lighting up the dirt path ahead of me, decorated with outgrown roots, wildflowers and fallen leaves that crunch beneath my shoes. I trudge on, taking in the fragrance of minty grass and the damp earth. Each breath is like water, fresh and cleansing, flowing freely into my lungs.
The time was right as the aurora glamours across the young sky. Me and my friends I walk upon the uncanny green whistling grass. It was time to head on track to our grand destination. A city that lays in the east of this region.
After a tough and fierce combat against two senior connoisseurs at the edge of a babbling brook, the brook which separates route three from route four; we continue eastwards to the fifth route, a straightforward route having a bounty of lush grass. There were no tall trees in sight, I could only see endless winding rivers squirming like a needle and a caterpie.
Then, a young girl with an age of eight came rushing towards the opposite direction. The girl seemed to be worried and anxious, she seemed to be looking for something or someone. The young girl saw us as she ran, she decided to ask for help from the four of us.
"Please help me, I'm trying to look for a Pokemon." the girl pleaded. "A Pokemon? But what kind of Pokemon?" Zhery queried.
"It was a tall Pokemon! It also had a brown body mixed with yellow circular patches." the young girl explained. "A tall Pokemon? But I haven't seen a tall Pokemon around here." Camellia answered. "But please you have to help me! I need the tall Pokemon or else my mother would scold me again." the young girl explained.
"Well, if you can give us exact details, maybe we can help," Glade reassured. "Well, the Pokemon is friendly and it was like a tree." the girl explained. Me and Glade got shocked as a memory came rushing to our feeble minds. "C... Could that Pokemon be?" Glade queried. "Trevenant!?" I added as we looked at each other.
"No! No! It was not a Trevenant! The tree that got lost loves to smile." the young girl explained as I and Glade felt comfortable again. "Well, if it's brown then maybe it's a diglet?" Camellia hunched. "No! It was not a diglet because the lost Pokemon was a tree." the young girl explained. "Are you sure it's not a Trevenant? Cause your descriptions match a description of a Trevenant." Zhery assured.
"No! It really isn't Trevenant! The Pokemon that got lost was tall but not as tall as Trevenant." the young girl explained.
"Hmm, if it's not Trevenant then who could it be?" I wondered in my mind. "Please! You have to help me! I'm begging you." The young eight-year-old girl pleaded. "Where did your Pokemon get lost?" Glade queried. "I was playing with it awhile ago near a brook! Then, I took a little stroll in the forest to gather berries but when I returned, the Pokemon disappeared. That Pokemon belongs to my mother." The girl answered. "So that means that the Pokemon you are looking for, got lost somewhere in route three." Glade concurred. "Then, let's go back to route three and find the girl's lost Pokemon," I suggested.
The four of us went back to the babbling brook and crossed it again to reach route three. "Do you know the Pokemon's name?" Zhery questioned the little girl as we walked in the forest to find her lost Pokemon. "I forgot its name, all I remember is that it looks like a tree." the young girl explained.
"There are a lot of trees in this forest, how could you determine which one is your mother's Pokemon?" Glade queried. "It's shorter than other trees." the young girl explained.
We searched for a long time for the so-called tree Pokemon, but there was a problem with that since there are thousands of trees in the forest. How could we distinguish the tree from the Pokemon which looks like a tree?
Then while we were searching in the forest, a strange tree appeared out of nowhere. "I don't remember seeing a tree-like that when we passed this route before," Glade explained. "Yeah, me too" I explained.
"Maybe that's the Pokemon!" the girl hunched. I tried to go closer to it, and even knocked it three times but still the tree wasn't moving. "Strange, this tree looks different from the other trees but it doesn't seem to move," Camellia observed. I went around it and looked at its back, but there wasn't a single face nor eye on the Pokemon. "It doesn't seem to have an eye," Zhery observed. "Riolu! Try knocking that tree with force palm!" I ordered as Riolu jumped down from my arm and tried to force palm the odd tree. The tree still doesn't seem to move no matter how hard or how many times it was hit by Riolu's powerful force palm.
The girl tried to push the tree but it wasn't working. The girl sobbed in fear, she was afraid that her mother might scold her. "Hey don't cry, we'll figure out a way to move this tree." Camellia comforted. Fennekin tried using flame charge but it didn't work, the tree wasn't damaged nor was it burned. Luxio tried using volt tackle but only damaged itself due to recoil. Roselia tried leaf storm but it also didn't work. "Come on move tree!" I shouted in annoyance.
"You do know your talking to a tree right?" Zhery teased. "Yeah but who cares! The tree is being too stubborn." I shouted in frustration. "But Mr. trees can't be stubborn." the young girl said. "See Kalem, even the eight-year-old kid is smarter than you." Zhery teased. "He who laughs last, laughs loudest!" I quoted.
"Move tree! Move! I am a man! You are a tree! You will do what I say" I shouted as everybody sighed. "Why don't we just think of another way instead of shouting at a tree which won't move no matter what you do." Zhery teased. "I know a place where we can talk about the tree!" The young girl exclaimed. "Really? Where?" Camellia queried. The young girl asked us to follow her.
We followed her to a small floral shop/ diner. That's where we talked and planned about the weird and odd tree blocking our way. "I think that we should try cutting the tree down!" Glade suggested. "Don't you have mercy on a tree?" I queried and teased. "You just talked to a tree! A tree!" Glade teased back. While we were planning, we didn't know that an old woman was eavesdropping us.
"I think we should hit the tree with a super hyper beam!" I suggested. "Where in the world will you find a hyper beam? From Admiral Brooke?" Zhery teased as the old woman came closer to us. "Having trouble with a tree blocking your path I presume?" the old woman guessed. "Yes madam! You see, we were trying to look for a Pokemon when a tree suddenly appeared out of nowhere." Camellia explained.
"If that's so my young children, then I advise you to use this bottle." the old woman offered. "But what kind of bottle is that?" Zhery asked. "Its called a squirt bottle, it helps you remove the tree blocking your path." the old woman explained. "Thanks for the Squirtle bottle madam!" Zhery said and smiled. The old woman then left leaving suspiciousness around us. "That old woman is even stranger than the tree," I said. "Seriously Kalem? That old lady is so kind to give us a squirt bottle." Glade objected.
"Yeah, I understand, but how did she know that we were talking about a tree?" I queried. "Maybe she just overheard us explaining about the tree" Glade hunched as we left the floral shop/ cafe and head out back to the tree. We poured the water from the squirt bottle into the top of the weird and strange tree. Seconds later, the tree began to squirm like a worm. Its dotted eyes showed up with its big smile. Then the girl realized something. "Huh? Could it be?" the girl wondered. The strange tree was a Pokemon, but it was not a Trevenant. "Ah! Now I remember! Its Soody!" the girl beamed with excitement.
SUDO!!! the Pokemon shouted with a mischievous look on his face as it began to run again. "Huh? What kind of Pokemon was that?" I asked. "I've never seen anything like it before," Camellia added. "I guess this is a job for Irys!" Irys the Pokedex went out of my bag and showed us some data.
[Sudowoodo! The imitation Pokemon! A rock type. SUDOWOODO camouflages itself as a tree to avoid being attacked by enemies. However, because the forelegs remain green throughout the year, the POKéMON is easily identified as a fake during the winter.]
"So that Pokemon was a Sudowoodo after all!" Glade concluded. "That's Moody, and we need to chase him before my mother goes and looks for me" the girl explained. "Then what are we waiting for! Lets hunt for Sudowoodo!" Zhery added with determination and eagerness as she was willing to find Sudowoodo. "As long as we have the squirt bottle that the old woman gave us, we can find Sudowoodo for sure!" Camellia added as we walked and hunted for Sudowoodo.
We found Sudowoodo blocking a path again, so we used the squirt bottle to awaken Sudowoodo. It was about to run off when Glade commanded his Pansear to use flame charge.
SUDOWOODO!!!! The Pokemon cried as it blasted. "Quick! Return Soody back to its Pokeball!" Camellia advised. The young girl quickly grabbed Sudowoodo's Pokeball in her Pocket and returned Sudowoodo to the Pokeball.
"Finally! That tree is caught." Zhery said with relief. The girl thanked me and the four of us so much and beamed with happiness. "Thank you for finding Soody for me!" The girl greeted. "Nah! No problem, just make sure that Sudowoodo doesn't run off again!" I advised. We went back to the old lady and returned her squirt bottle. "So did it work?" The old lady asked. "Yes it did madam! Thank you so much." Zhery smiled as she returned the squirt bottle.
We passed the babbling brook and went back to route four. The girl waved at us goodbye as she parted ways. "Come and visit our ranch when you have time!" the young and cheerful girl offered. "Really? Sure! No problem!" I accepted the young girl's offer as she crossed route four and went to route five.
"I guess trees can be Pokemons too!" Camellia learned. "Yeah! I'm glad that we found Sudowoodo!" I said in relief. "Well we all know that it was the old lady who we should thank for lending to us the squirt bottle," Glade advised. As the day got old, and the sky turned dark while the moon cast its glazing aura upon us, we walked pass route four and entered route five. As the journey continues.
