" I love you too son." Lean Miller said with a smirk.
In the sitting room. The awkwardness between Clara and Samantha was startling.
Small talks that either of them started where unsuccessful as the other would just answer in a one word answer.
" Acer is really a handsome boy."
" I guess he is."
" You have something on your neck."Clara Miller told Samantha.
" Where exactly?"
" I'll get it for you..."
" It looks like a bruise...Oh never mind." Clara told Samantha embarrassed.
Samantha could guess what it was, so she didn't say anything, she just cursed out Nigel under her breath.

Two weeks later Nigel took Acer to his first month appointment with his paediatrician after his birth and Samantha to her consolidated Chemotherapy session.
Acer was doing well for a premee.
He went and sat waiting for Samantha.
When her therapy was done, like always she was very weak and neaseous due to the intensity of the chemotherapy.
Nigel helped her to the car and drove them back home.
"Am not feeling well Honey."
" I know honey, you will be fine when you rest a bit at ho...."
Before he could even finish speaking, Samantha gagged and vomiting on her self.
Nigel stopped the car and cleaned her up a little.
" I'll drive a little faster so that I can get you home quicker and have you cleaned up.
When they got home, Nigel bathed Samantha and made her a fruit juice. Samantha drunk some and Slept.
Less than thirty minutes past when Acer's crying woke her up.
he was crying aggressively, that she thought Nigel was not in the house.
" Nigel?"
" No..."
She heard a muffled sound that got drowned in Acer's cries.
" Nigel check on Acer..."
She was starting to get scared with Nigel's unresponsiveness.
She got out of bed and went to Acer's crib.
" hush, hush baby..."
Samantha started to cry.
" You need to eat right?"
" Nigel...where are you?"
This time, she didn't hear his voice. She slowly walked downstairs with Acer to make him food because he wouldn't stop crying.
" Your mom is really useless Acer. I can't feed you with breast milk, it's bad for you....".
" why am I so useless... please don't cry Acer."
She felt hopeless and started crying again.
" I am hungry..."
She heard the voice, loud and clear even with Acer crying.
" Nigel."
his voice sounded sounded timid and pitiouse.
" Am not Nigel, my name is Gubby and am hungry." His was Imbued in fear and uncertainty.
