"What took you so long?" Michael yelled on top of his lungs as soon as our eyes met. 

He was standing with the rest of the boys near the main entrance of the cafeteria as that was where I asked him to wait for me. I was more than famished and wanted to grab a bite before going for my classes or the game practice. I didn't want to miss on any more of my classes, but since we had a game coming up on the weekend, it was unavoidable. 

"I lost track of time. Sorry." I muttered a half-heartfelt apology as I approached them. 

"What has gotten into you, man? He questioned me as he eyed me up and down. His words were followed by a couple of nods from others while they kept their eyes glued to my face.
