章 47: Chapter 47

Tylor came out from the shower and in her towel, she walked towards her phone with a frown. For the rest of the day she had been thinking about what Ashlyn had told her. ' If you ever decide to make your passion into something more than a hobby, contact me' She repeated in her head. The word 'passion' kept bouncing back and forth between each thought.

She sighed and picked up her phone that was buzzing. She was shocked to see so many notifications. Although she had grown quite popular to the point she received 1 million followers, her phone had never blown up to this extent.

When she entered her social media she was shocked to see that her latest post had gone viral. It was everywhere. She was so confused as to why and when she started reading the comments she facepalmed.

The comments went on and on, making her fall in shock.

She had just met an heiress who's an upcoming celebrity! " Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Why are you so careless all the time?" She cursed her luck.

She wasn't sure whether this was a good thing or a bad one. What if she unknowingly offended them? She thought and then she started looking for the card she had received from Ashlyn earlier.

She immediately got on her computer and started doing her research on Ashlyn. She pulled up every piece of news she could find.

After walking around for the most of the day Ashlyn and the twins settled in Li Zi's hotel room. The plan would have been to stay in Ashlyn's room but since Conner arrived many of their plans would have to be changed.

They were all sitting down in different places around the room. Luke was sitting in a coach looking up for different magazines and brands that Ashlyn has or should make connections with. Sitting in her bed, Li Zi was in Ashlyn's social media accounts looking through comments and posting more of the photos they took.

Hearing the constant notifications Ashlyn sighed. " Don't answer anything, let them wonder. I will only answer questions on interviews." She told her and Li Zi nodded.

"What do guys want to order?" Lake asked. She took the job of ordering everyone food. After getting their orders she made a call to the room service.

Meanwhile, Ashlyn was on her computer typing at fast speed. Her screen was dark and numbers flowed through the screen rapidly. "Finally!" She breathed a sigh of relief and turned off her computer. She had just finished securing all her information and made sure nobody would get anything. She did this not only for people that are trying to earn money by selling information about her online but also for Conner's grandfather who is trying to get his hands on her past.

Ashlyn shook head and tapped the computer deep in thought. She has been keeping a low profile so there were already few hackers trying to get her information. She didn't want to hire anyone that might easily get bribed either. That's why her team consists of people she can trust like her cousins and Li Zi.

The hacking, she can handle that on her own. She narrowed her eyes and a cold glint flashed through her eyes. People have been underestimating her a lot lately, she let her guard down these past few weeks. Everything was flowing peacefully until Conner had to appear again. She clenched her fists. 'Why now?' She wondered.

" Can someone explain how Conner managed to get my location?" She finally asked the question that was I her head the whole day. The room fell into a pin drop of silence. "So who's going to answer?" She asked.

Lake and Luke raised their hands guiltily. Li Zi raised the phone in her hand and the silence was interrupted by an incoming call. Ashlyn sighed and walked to answer the call. She took the phone from Li Zi's hand and walked inside the bathroom.

"Something wrong?" She asked in a neutral tone. " I thought about it and apologize for yesterday. I did it on impulse. Although I will be going back to LA I will still visit you often here." She heard him explain. "Good." She responded through gritted teeth.

"Mmm my men will still follow you around though and I will still get daily reports from you right?" He asked cautiously. Ashlyn laughed. " You are good at getting what you want." She told him. "Is that a yes?" He asked again. " It's a yes as long as you give me space." She responded.

"Alright." He replied.

"This is only the hard part. I assure you it will get better." Mike patted him in the shoulder and Conner arched an eyebrow. " Okay, I'm not an expert in relationships but I'm trying to help you." He defended.

Conner frowned and dismissed him. He sat down in his chair inside his office in New York. He started working right after that and did his best to ignore that feeling that kept bothering him.

"Don't repeat your mistake. Even if you have good intentions I will do things at my own pace." Ashlyn warned her cousins after they apologized and explained themselves.

There was a knock on the door and the food had arrived. Lake organized the plates for everyone and then went around the room snatching their devices one by one. She made them sit down and eat properly. They had a good time together the whole afternoon.
