章 175: Lightning Mastery
Lin Fan walked into the Fan Sect Workshop and went to the backroom to his workshop and sat down on his bed as the moon rose above the clouds.
His girls had been up all day working on getting him points from either themselves or the soldiers that had been captured from the other races, so he had made roughly one hundred million sadist points.
The Dragon Race was still mad about losing the law of destruction tome that Glenn Kong had as well, and Lin Fan had already asked to look at that tome.
His top priority right now was to try and master the [Lightning Tempestuous Tome], the [Sacred Law Manuals], and the [Wood Awakening Tome]. He only had one hundred million sadist points, but had learned a few obscure laws that reduced the cost of learning new techniques.
The obscure law of perception brought the cost of him learning the [Lightning Tempestuous Tome] down by five percent. For this reason, it made sense for him to try and learn the [Sacred Law Manuals] first if he could just get the damn book to like him.
He took it out of his storage ring and looked at it for the first time since Han Zhou had been taken. It had changed from a [slightly hostile] to a [friendly] state with him after he took out the people in the underworld trenches.

"I think it makes the most sense... If I talk to it, or play with it will it reduce the cost?"

"So, it's like a girl and needs a date," Lin Fan sighed and pat the back of the book before he selected to hack it again. He had the other two tomes on the bed who were slightly shivering behind the [Sacred Law Manuals].
Sentient treasures recognized other sentient treasures and the two other tomes were much weaker than the [Sacred Law Manuals]. The only comparable treasure that Lin Fan had was the [law of time] tome, but that was still across the Green Mirror Sea.
Lin Fan took a deep breath and decided to put the 50 million points towards hacking the tome.

"I-I can never get a break," Lin Fan sighed and picked up the [Tempestuous lightning tome] as it shivered in its hands. It immediately went from a [hostile] state to a [scared] state in the presence of a more powerful tome, which reduced the cost of purchasing a new skill by eighty percent.
"You should've told me this strategy," Lin Fan sighed and opened up the book as its pages shook in his hands, "If I knew that this could lower the cost, I would've used it a long time ago."

"Only five million points?" Lin Fan immediately chose to hack it as he looked and saw Glenn Kong walking into the room with a sad expression on his face, "Hack it quickly... It looks like something happened,"
"I-I got a message from the Sacred Ring of Assassins," Glenn Kong said as he tossed a storage ring at Lin Fan, "I can only watch this battle, or Pox Ran will kill all the daughters I forgot I had."
"Here I thought you were without any fate strings holding you down," Lin Fan nodded his head as he looked down at the message about the [Tempestuous Lightning Tome]. He'd reached 70 percent mastery in the law of lightning, but the tome had apparently gotten damaged during the hacking.
"I'm not surprised my luck is the way it is. You know what i think?" Lin Fan put the ring in his pocket as he got up and pat Glenn Kong on the back, "I think we should see if you can make another child tonight! I know just the place to get that frown of your face."
"It gets worse," Glenn Kong looked at Lin Fan straight in the eyes as he pointed at the ring in Lin Fan's pocket, "Pox Ran now made you a target for all the assassins below the mortal shedding realm. You might have scared him, and because of that he's going against orders."
"He was merely supposed to test you, but now it seems things have gotten complicated."
"I'm not worried... I have a feeling that we'll win the war. Even if I have to fight a hundred assassins, all I'll end up doing is taking their wives from them!"
"I'll take that drink now," Glenn Kong started to cough as he pointed at the doorway. "I'm sort of going insane... Seeing Pox Ran again brought back some bad memories. It's making me sick and I'm a demi-god!"
"Yup, you know a strong drink," Lin Fan put his arm around Glenn Kong and pointed at the stars. "I know just the place to drink to cheer you up. It's the place where a lot of people will die."
