Yulva got up from her seat and went back into the shop. She soon returned with a small wooden chest and handed it to Vy. She carefully received it from the witch and opened it. The phoenix necklace was inside.
Vy lit up, "So we have a deal?"
Yulva nodded, "We have a deal. For two vials of blood."
Both of them shook hands on their deal. Yulva brought out some apparatus to draw Vy's blood. Vy on the other hand looked at the necklace that was finally in her hands. She had been waiting for this moment for a long time.
As luck would have it, she finally had it in her possession. It matched perfectly with the dragon necklace she had around her neck. Yulva could see how happy the necklace made Vy, she knew it was of great importance to her.
"So, why is it so important?" she could not help but ask.
I can't remember if I mentioned this before, but Vy's backstory was birthed from a piece I worked on during my University days~
I have considered exploring her previous life in a separate novel, if that is something you would be keen on reading, let me know!
