His words were straightforward and pure.
There was no lie, conspiracy, or other meaning behind his words since this was what Shigaraki clearly meant.
Unlike Hokusai, who was half-crazy, Mineta was sane, and he was clear about how vile this world was.

Mineta didn't even hide his contempt and said, "But how about you? What do you have? What can you give me? A single sweet sword? Do you think that I am stupid enough to follow you like the people around you?"
"?!"
Everyone was clearly angry by his words.
"If you want to dream, you should do it when you're sleeping, Shigaraki-kun."
"...."
Shigaraki didn't say anything and just stared at Mineta.
"Do you think I am wrong?" Mineta looked at Shiragaki and said in grief, "But I think you're the most selfish one. When I live happily, you force me to live like a tramp, abandoning everything which I have worked hard for in my life." His voice was like a victim as he put all the blame on Shigaraki.
"You're so cruel, Shigaraki-kun."
However, the one who replied to him wasn't Shigaraki. Instead, it was Spinner.
"You-You're not a hero! You definitely can't become a hero!" Spinner roared and looked at Mineta angrily since if the young man became a hero; the world would become hell!
If someone like this could become a hero, then the world would plunge into a darker abyss!
"Gecko-kun, like a Shigaraki, you're still dreaming."
"Dreaming?"
Spinner didn't even care if Mineta mocked him since Mineta's mocking was small compared to how ridiculous the words that came from Mineta's mouth were.
"Maybe, you're under the misconception that a hero is someone who will help someone in need, but according to the dictionary, a hero is one of the law enforcers owned by the country. You, Stain, and everyone here is just trying to deify the hero even though they are the same as us, normal human. We have our own selfishness, desire, ambitions, and others. Is it wrong to do that? If so, then you're also denying Stain, the person that you idolize, since you don't let people have a dream or ambition."
"No... no... I am..."
"Spinner, stop talking to him. As I have said before, you're an idiot."
"Dammit, shut up, Hokusai!" Spinner was angry, but he calmed down again.
Still, Hokusai wasn't finished. "However, I also understand why he doesn't want to join us."
"Hokusai, are you our friend or not?!" Spinner was furious.
"Calm down, Spinner. You should look at the reality. He has a good family, a nice house, and a lot of money, and with his face, you should understand that girls are crazy about him. He is also satisfied with his life, yet Shiragaki tells him to abandon everything to join our group. If you were in his place, what would you do?"
"I..." Spinner couldn't answer Hokusai since what Hokusai said was right.
Mineta had everything that no one in this place had. He was simply a winner in life. He had a perfect life that everyone longed after.

When this question appeared, no one could say anything.
