章 36: giving up and giving in
. The next morning I wake up a bit soar. Even if they healed everything even my broken hand I could still feel it. I look around the dark room. Then all of last night came back to me suddenly. In my hands I felt shards of broken life cutting deep in my skin. I closed my eyes and all I saw was master Sky's limp body, the blood stained on my hands and the fear in the faces of my friends. When I opened my eyes it all faded but all I could do was back up into the corner of the cell and feel helpless.
I looked up and saw my parents outside my cell and they looked exhausted, why did they stay down here. I got up and went to the bars and opened my mouth to speak but as I started to call them I stopped myself. All that got out was a little bit of mom before I walked back to my bed and laid down.
No matter how much I wanted to care deep down, I just didn't right now. I just wanted to give up and give in. Let the stupid witch steal my body what does it matter. Lost in thought I didn't realize my parents woke up and are staring at me.
I looked up at them and I didn't smile or frown, I just looked at them with a empty expression, I felt empty inside and out. They looked at me with concerned faces and my mom asked me what's going on and I just frowned at her and told her "I was sorry". Before laying down and getting under the blanket turning towards the wall.
