章 20: Fish under water
A couple days after I tried to cook in the kitchen and the explosion happened cate, me, and Patrick go to the beach. When we arrive at the beach I change into a swim suit and start to suntan on the beach. Before I do this I tell cate to tell me when Patrick arrives. I sit down on my beach towel a grab some sunblock and rub it on my legs and arms and all the places exposed to the sun. Then I opened my bag and grabbed my sunglasses did one of those men in black moments were they look all mysterious.
I laid down and got all comfortable. I laid there for a while soaking in the sun when suddenly a ball hit me. I went oof and exhaled painfully. A couple kids ran up to me and apologized but I didn't mind so I just happily gave them there ball back and slowly got relaxed once more.
My moments of peace were to good to be true. That's when Patrick and cate decided to show up. I opened my eyes in a annoyed manor and smiled at them. My eyes were a bit squinted from the sun but I still looked up at them. They had a big float with them and asked if I wanted to join them in the water. I decided to eventually because you know it's water who would say no. I stand up and stretch my back. Cate asks if I broke my back and if I'm getting old already and we all laugh and go to rent a boat. We sail out way far off the shore and stop the boat. Patrick is the first to jump in off the boat. You could here him for a mile he screamed so loud. "WATCH THIS... KOWABUNGA". That's all we heard and before we could even react he was flying through the air making a huge cannon ball. His splash was huge and it got me and cate wet. I smile and take cates hand force her to jump with me and we both start a splash war that ends any negativity I was holding onto until now. After a while we all got some drinks and relaxed on the edge of the boat. I told them I saw something in the distance and i was going to check it out. They asked if i wanted them to come and I said don't worry I'll be fine. Before they can say much more I stand up and rise to the air and within seconds them and the boat are out of sight.
When I stop I see that it was nothing and I decide to do something I used to always want to do as a kid. I chant a spell that made me breath under water and drop into the deep sea. I swim around for a while and see a huge variety of fish and even run into a couple sharks witch were rather nice compared what movies say. They did not see me and decide to eat me I just stopped and they eventually left me alone.
I went down to the bottom and swam along the shore for even longer. I saw something that totally defies logic. The fish were formal as humans and lived in homes made of coral and were circular instead of square and they were lit up by sea lanterns and they had walls around there villages to protect themselves from outsiders. I could not get to close because when I did they swam out of there homes and started nibbling at me, not so scary you would say but with so many at once its painful. I decided to swim away from the fishes city's and go deeper out in the sea.
I saw many sunk ships that were rotted and covered in plant life. I saw many human made things lost at sea. Things undiscovered until now. things started to feel to pressurized after a while so I decided to head back. Once I did I had a really bad bloody nose. it was terrible blood was everywhere. Cate was worried sick and Patrick was full of suspicion.
That was a very exciting adventure though and completely worth my headache and dizziness. After that we decided to call it a day and head home. I ended up going to sleep much earlier than normal and I did not dream. I guess my body was just fed up and could not stand it any longer because I was week and sore the next morning.
