章 19: 2.2 Killing the Mutated Hobgoblins
Currently, I am at least 500 meters away from the hobgoblins but they are starting to catchup. I summoned my bow and started to draw it. A magic array appeared under my feet and flames appeared before me. When I had fully drawn my bow, the fire started to condense. By the time it fully condensed, the Hobgoblins were 30 meters away. I then let it loose.

If anyone was here, they would barely be able to see a flash of light zoom past as they would be burned and turned into ashes from the massive amounts of fire mana it generated. When it hit the lord. The Lord turned into ashes as it penetrated through its head and hit 4 more that were behind. These 4 were crippled instantly while the other 5 were frozen in place by the mana suppression they were just under.
While they were confused, I unsummoned my bow and unsheathed my sword then gathered more fire mana into it. While I did this, used my armors crowd control ability.
[Tidal Force]
Tendrils of water gathered from the ground underneath of the hobgoblins and shot towards thier limbs. With this, they were trapped and could not escape. After that, I stabbed my sword into the ground after it gathered enough mana and the forest floor immediately became hell to the hobgoblins.
The screams of these lord class monsters sounded throughout the night and alerted the corrosive Hobgoblin boss and the blurry figure who passed by Tyrant and co.
While I was looking at the Hobgoblins scattering to ashes, I felt a chill down my spine. I used gale steps and parried the strike. While I was knocked away, I turned around and saw the hobgoblin boss.

It looked like the incredible hulk if he had runes painted on his body and had tusks.
After experiencing my organs shuffling, I landed and immediately went into stealth. But even though I went into stealth, I could feel the hobgoblin's gaze right on my back. It began its chase. It was alot faster than the other hobgoblins so I had to activate
[Moon God's Wrath] just to stay ahead. I then thought of something and equipped Sylvan's Mask.
At this moment, a shadow appeared behind the hobgoblin and stabbed it in the neck.

When I saw who it was, I was very relieved. It was Ivy. I had no idea why Ivy knew I was in danger but it came just at the right time.
"BloodMoon, help me take out this abominable being. The Temple of Light will be here at any time to take care of the tribe of insidious creatures." Ivy says with a hint of disgust and loathing in her voice. I nod and summon a pair of wings and take off into the sky.
[Wings of Sylvan]
When the Hobgoblin saw me fly up, it roared loudly and the runes on its body started to glow a bright yellow. It was as if this hobgoblin had suddenly become a Thunder God. The clouds in the sky began to converge as flashes of light began to appear in the sky. Ivy had a bad feeling and shouted towards me. "Get back down!"
I noticed it and used gale steps to become immune to damage. When the lightning struck me, I was blasted back to the ground by the impact. If I wasn't immune to damage, I would have been smashed into meat paste.
I was still affected by this impact though.
[You have taken a severe concussion. -50% concentration and -35% stamina.]
I wanted to curse this Hobgoblin to death. I got up and felt dizzy. I looked over and saw my mentor dodging lightning while trying to hit it. Her health was at the halfway point and was continuously dropping. Throwing away all reservations, I decided to go all out and use
[Rage of Sylvan]. Feeling this familiar power flow through me, my dizziness went away and I wasn't effected by my status effects anymore. I summoned my bow and knocked my arrow. The arrow shot out with great haste and hit the Hobgoblin in the head.

The Hobgoblin was stunned for a while and Ivy noticed and took advantage of the opportunity and used her daggers special ability.
[Broken Shadow]
All I saw was her hands turn into a blur and the Hobgoblin flew out into a tree with less than 10% of its HP left. The aura around the Hobgoblin weakened by about 90% but it also weakened around Ivy by about the same amount.
"You'll need to finish it off. I am currently in a weakened state after using that skill but that Hobgoblin should be in a worse state than mine." After saying this, she sat against a tree with sweat running down her face like a waterfall.
I nod and look at the weakened Hobgoblin.

It was in a way worse state than Ivy. The Hobgoblin had its arms and legs cut off and was was blinded. It was also bleeding very slowly. Its defense was weakened to the point of not needing to be there anymore.
I decided to put it out of its misery and summoned my bow.

The hobgoblin turned into ashes and I when I saw my experience bar, I was shocked. I was already level 26 and after I killed the Supreme Lord Hobgoblin, it started to fill up even more.
Level 27...
Level 28...
Level 29...
It finally stopped at 76% and I was close to becoming level 30. I summoned my Golden Crow and told it to protect Ivy while I went and picked up the loot that I left behind. Since it was urgent, I didn't even look at the loot and just threw it into my inventory. After that, I went back to Ivy.
"Master, I have completed your task."
Ivy looked at me and nodded. She then took out a teleportation crystal and held my hand. After that she crushed the crystal and a bright light flashed. I closed my eyes because the light was just too intense. When I opened my eyes, I was back at Ivy's House. I looked at Ivy and she was said. "I need your help. Lead me to my bedroom."
I supported her by the arm and helped her to her bed. "There should be a bottle of pills on my desk. Take 2 out and give them to me." I walked over to her desk and took two pills from the bottle then walked back. I gave her the pills and she put them in her mouth and swallowed them.
Light began to radiate from her body and her wounds started to heal. The light mana was strong enough to the point where my weakened state was no longer there. After Ivy took both of the pills she looked at me and said. "I didn't think the Evil Faction would start taking action this early. Those hobgoblins you saw were products of the Evil Faction's alchemy research. This is the reason why they were exterminated hundreds of years ago. Who would have though that they would return once more?" Ivy appeared to be a bit tired. "I need to recuperate. Tell those friends of yours that they need to become strong enough to fight with you so you don't end up in that position again. It would have been bad if it noticed that you wielded the light." I nod and say farewell. I called Tyrant again after I left Ivy's house.
"Is everything good now?" Tyrant sounded kind of worried. I laughed and said. "They are all dead. My teacher swooped in and save me when a Supreme Lord monster was chasing me. We worked together and managed to kill it along with the 10 lords."
"That's great. Everyone was worried about you. Were are you right now? Everyone is at the Drink bar." Tyrant sighs in relief when he hears the news.
"I'll be there in a minute." I hang up the call and used gale steps to run a bit faster.
After running for a bit, I managed to find the drink bar. When I walked inside, I found that everyone was looking at me. Even Blade Dance and the others who were waving at me froze.
"Level 29..."
"Fuck... there is no way... right?"
"I must be seeing things..."
"Isn't the highest leveled person on the leaderboards supposed to be Athena from Phoenix Wing. Isn't she level 26? Who is this person supposed to be?"
"Refresh the leaderboards..."
Everyone other than my friends refreshed the leaderboards and saw a very familiar name.
"That's BloodMoon?"
"There's just no way..."
While everyone in the bar was having a discussion, I walked over to Blade Dance and Co. "How's it going?" They didn't reply with an answer. Instead, they asked a question back.
"How did you level up so fast?" Cecilia asked.
Before I could answer, Dragon Fault stepped in. "She killed those 10 lord class monsters that chased her and also killed a Supreme Lord class monster afterwards. I can only imagine the loot drops you had..." He started talk but didn't realize that everyone was listening to their conversation. He realized he messed up once again by being too loud. At this moment, a person called out to me.
"Excuse me Miss BloodMoon... I heard that you killed some lord class monsters. I want to buy the loot off of you. State your price..."
