章 156: Find a good use for this
So in this life, he knew that he would not get the code. He had made sure that Yu Chen never even talked to Yuan Zuan and had rested easy only when he found out that Chen had submitted the names of Kio, Hua and Zenghai as her teammates.
But right now, Yu Chen was giving him the very code upon which her whole misfortune had been based. What was he to do....
Yu Chen had debated a lot about giving this code to Si Xia. She knew that he had based his entire company around this code in the last life and hated Yuan Zuan for that. She had thought that the code would be submitted in the competition, but they returned the codes, saying that these were a precious piece of hard-work and nobody should have to be stripped of that. Yu Chen had long wondered about what would Xia do if he did not get this code? What would he built a company upon? She was sure that with his skills, he would easily establish a company that would give mountains of profits.
But Yu Chen had begun to see how caring Si Xia was. She had left all the dislike she had developed for the old Xia and had fallen in love with this new Xia. And Chen believed that this Si Xia had not yet done anything to make her sad. On the other hand, he was taking extra pains to make her happy. So Yu Chen had decided to give the code to him. She didn't really have any good use for the code and also did not want to strip this new Si Xia of his bright future.
Moreover, Chen did not feel even an ounce of regret as the code had already fulfilled it's purpose and she had never intended to make things worse....
Si Xia looked at the pen drive for a long time before he said, "Why are you giving it to me?"
Yu Chen was a little embarrassed, "Well, because I believe that you can find a better use for it." She could not tell him her reason for giving it, neither could she just outright tell him to start a company.
Yu Chen hoped that Si Xia would figure it out on his own.
Si Xia: "I can't take this. This is your hard-work. You should be able to use it whichever way you like."
Yu Chen: "I am doing that. I like to use it by giving it to you."
Si Xia began, "Chen...."
But Yu Chen cut him off. She said, "I'm giving you this because I want you to have it. Even if you don't want it, just keep it for remembering me. And if you still don't want it when I return, you can just return it to me. That way, we'll have another reason to meet." Yu Chen decided to use Kio's tactics.
Si Xia still looked indecisive as he began something, but at this point Chen's phone rang. She put up her finger to silence him and then looked at her phone.
She was getting a call from Huo Zenghai. She picked it up and put it on speaker.
