章 133: Mian meets the gang
Yu Chen gave her a thumbs up, "That's like my Hua. You are the best."
Mian finally understood, "So that's why we were not eating mom's food."
Yu Chen: "Oh, by the way. My mom also packed some congee for you. But I'm afraid it will have gone cold." She said turning to Hua.
Xi Hua: "Just ask the nurse to warm up the food."
Yu Chen: "I could never do that."
Xi Hua: "Trust me. This is a VIP room, so they don't mind. And anyway my nurse is really nice." Saying this Hua pressed a bell on her bed stand and a nurse soon came in. She asked with a smile, "You need something, Miss Hua?"
Xi Hua nodded and smiled apologetically, "Could you please warm up the food there, in those bento boxes? Oh, and could you please also get us some bowls?"
The nurse nodded, "Sure." Yu Chen helped her carry it out as Hua and Mian sat there chatting.
After about five minutes, the door of the room opened. Supposing that it was Yu Chen, Mian said, "Sis, come on. Hua is telling a really....." She stopped as she heard the voice from the door and turned around.
Around the same time...
Si Xia, Mo Kio and Huo Zenghai had come. Kio, in the front opened the door and said, without even looking inside, "So how's patient in there? Is she behaving? Did Chen come back....." His voice trailed off as he heard the voice from inside and saw the person who had turned around to look.
Mo Kio instantly recognised the girl in front of him. It was Chen's little sister. He looked at her and his heart began to race. The girl was really pretty. Her dark brown hair were just like Chen, but they were longer so that they reached upto her waist. She had left them open and it looked like a waterfall of earth fell from her head to her waist. As she turned around, Kio saw that her face was really pretty. Mian had big blue eyes and her smile was quite similar to Chen, one that could make people feel like the sun was shining warmly to them. Even though Chen was usually happy, she gave this smile very less. For Mian, on the other hand, it was like a signature feature. Hse always had the beautiful smile on her face which would instantly pick up the mood of any person. Mo Kio stood there in a daze, until thoughts were broken by Hua's voice.
Xi Hua: "Oh it's you guys, you're early."
The three boys walked in. Si Xia was looking around the room as though searching for something, and Mo Kio was still looking at Mian in a daze. Huo Zenghai realised that both of these boys were goners, so he said, "Yeah. Chen messaged us not to eat too much as she had a surprise. So here we are."
He then slapped Kio and Xia on the backs and said, "Come on you two. Snap out of it."
Xi Hua chuckled as Si Xia put his hands in his pocket and looked down, and Mo Kio awkwardly scratched his head. She said, "Guys, this is Mian. Chen's sister. Say hello."
