章 118: Huo Zenghai needs some therapy
As they came out of the mansion, Mo Kio said, "So how do you guys wanna go to the hospital?"
Si Xia: "I'm assuming you want to take your bike."
Mo Kio: "Well I would really love to. But the three of us will not be able to ride in that."
Yu Chen: "And I'm not sitting on a bike wearing a dress."
Mo Kio: "I'll call my dad and take one of the cars?"
Si Xia: "Sounds cool."
Yu Chen: "How about we walk?"
Si Xia: "Okay."
Mo Kio: "...Hey, don't jump ships so easily."
Yu Chen: "No no, think about it. It's not that far anyway, and I definitely could use a walk to clear my mind."
Si Xia: "We all could."
Mo Kio: "Let's go then."
So the three set out towards the hospital on foot. It really wasn't far and they reached in about twenty minutes. First, they went to see Huo Zenghai. He was lying in the hospital bed awake. Mrs. Huo was sitting by the bed, obviously exhausted.
Yu Chen went upto her and said, "Mrs. Huo, how's Zenghai?"
Mrs. Huo looked at Chen and smiled. She said, "He's fine. After he woke up in the morning, he began to cause a ruckus again, saying that he wanted to see Hua. But then a very sensible doctor came on round and said that if he lied down quietly, he would be able to see Hua soon. And if he caused a scene and had to be injected with another sedative, it would be really long before he met her."
Yu Chen: "That would have made him calm down."
Mrs. Huo: "Yes it did. He is now laying quietly waiting for the doctors to run some tests after which he can be discharged."
Yu Chen: "You also look really tired Mrs. Huo. Why don't you take some rest while we keep Zenghai company."
Mrs. Mo patted her hand and gave a tired smile, "Thank you very much darling, but I don't think that I will be able to leave Zenghai alone."
Yu Chen smiled and took her hands in her's. She said, "I'm not asking you to leave him."
Then she, with the help of Kio amd Xia, made a bed with some extra sheets and pillows on the sofa in the hospital room.
Yu Chen patted the sofa and said, "You can rest here. We will call you if Zenghai needs anything."
Mrs. Huo: "But I'm really not sleepy."
Yu Chen: "I'm not asking you to sleep. Just rest you body for a bit. Okay?"
Mrs. Huo contemplated for a bit and then nodded. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was sound asleep.
Yu Chen sighed, "It seems like she was really tired."
Mo Kio turned to look at Huo Zenghai who was brooding on the bed. He said, "How much sleep did your mother get last night?"
Huo Zenghai: "How am I supposed to know anything. They had injected me with that awful sedative."
Si Xia: "And whose fault was that?"
Huo Zenghai opened his mouth but could not think of anything. Finally, he snapped, "I just want to go see Hua."
Yu Chen looked at him with a firm glare and said, "I don't think Hua would want to meet this Zenghai."
