章 57: Sail
I woke up early around 6 in the morning, the sun was still down and would rise for at least another two hours. I quietly slipped out of bed. I grabbed food for Maze and gave it her. When I walked away she tried to follow me and started crying. I wasn't sure if she was going to wake people up because she was getting louder and louder as I got father away. I walked back to her and pet her head.
"Maze I need you to be quiet and go eat ok."
I got up walking away and she started whining yet again. So I went and grabbed her leash untying it from her cadge. I walked over to the sail boat and she followed me. I also unplugged I climbed onto the other boats and unplugged the motor and hide the keys. They're I'll have to figure out where the keys are and they try and figure out why it's not starting in order to follow me. There wasn't a single light on in the house as I picked Maze up and brought her onto the sail boat. I opened the sail and let my eyes glow. The water moved as I wanted and pushed us away from the island. It was still almost pitch black, I could barely see a thing. The clouds covered the stars and hide the moon for the most part. There were times where it appeared casting a dime light over the dark water. I looked back and the island was out of site. Maybe all they would think is I took Maze for a walk at first and not notice the boat. The dock was concealed from the houses view. The trees covered it and you have to walk a decent ways to get there. Walking with Maze it took almost 8 minutes just to get to the dock. Hopefully I have given myself enough time to get to the other island and back before they really notice that I'm missing. I was using my powers to guide me , I could feel where the water meant land which is guiding me to the other island. I used my abilities and didn't even open the sail. It was to dark out to trust the sail to begin with although we could of been moving faster if I had the sail up. A part of me didn't want to be there to when the other royals arrived. I would have to see Lea, facing her will be hard and with her not knowing I have abilities she will treat me poorly again like in the past. Lea was mean in middle school, don't get me wrong she protected me and stopped some fight from happening and out an end to a few but it was simply because she had something to gain from it. She was a wicked person from the start but since she was strong nobody could ever put her in her place and he parents clearly didn't either. She was the first born so she had nobody to tease her or to beat her. Clearly now that I'm older I realize I can and that I could of but I'm not sure I'm ready to face her just yet.
It took me a little over an hour to get to the island. It would of taken any of them twice as long because there was almost no wind. Sydney is the only one who could of even had a chance of making it here with good timing. In the conditions I was sailing in though Sydney would of gotten lost very easily, it's easy to get lost during the day while there is sun let alone when you can't see. She also doesn't know how to sail so she wouldn't of been able to steer and that probably would of made it so she took the same time as anyone else. This was easily a 3 hour trip without any abilities and that's assuming there was enough air blowing at a constant rate. I didn't hear any sounds from the island, I could see the houses and the market place but nobody was up and yet. It was almost 8 now though. The island didn't have a dock which force me to use my powers to push the boat onto the beach. I decided to wait the sun would be starting to come up soon and with that I'm sure the market would start to open. I sat there holding Maze in my arms watching the sunrise.
