It was the next day, and Edie still hadn't told Stuart that she was going to have dinner with Donald and Joanna. She was dreading the thoughts of going out with them because of their previous relationship. Edie waited until five o'clock to call Stuart and tell him where she was going.

When she called, Ivan answered. Edie was a little surprised as the number she called was Stuart's private number, and usually, Stuart would respond. After Ivan explained why he answered the phone instead of Stuart, Edie found out that the L.N. Group's headquarters had a significant problem in Europe.

Stuart was at a video conference, and Ivan told her that he would probably have to work late this evening, and he would not be home for dinner. Ivan felt guilty for telling this to Edie, but she was relieved. She quickly said, "It's okay. Stuart's work is more important. Don't say anything to him to interrupt his work."
