章 72: Chapter 72: Tiangou, The Heavenly Fiend Wolf
Xiu Ye analyzed the green glowing nut on his right hand in curiosity, while he held a brown leather bag in his left filled with the same item in his other hand; counting to be 99.
He narrowed his eyes, "It's a nut."
"A green glowing peanut, you mean." Ryūjin Jakka said, materializing his spirit form besides Xiu Ye. Now no longer a featureless, orange colored, compressed energy of the sun, with humanoid figure. Although he's still completely orange, he has human facial features and a very masculine build. With sharp sword like eyebrows, long, orange hair tied into a ponytail, crystal pair of similar colored eyes, a youthful handsome face of someone in his early twenties and he has a seemingly permanent calm expression. He is also wearing an entirely orange colored version of a Genryūsai Yamamoto's shinigami uniform.
Ryūjin Jakka's materialization in the real world had caught Xiu Ye surprised but also excited, this sudden appearance of his Zanpakutō spirit to appear in the real world just made him realize that his goal in beating him is coming close and that he'll probably soon get bankai.
Truth be told, Ryūjin Jakka had long since accepted Xiu Ye as his new partner and shinigami, and thus officially giving him his true name. But the latter didn't know about that, as he still wanted to beat him to prove himself worthy of wielding one of the most strongest swords in the multiverse, and the former didn't tell him because he himself wanted Xiu Ye to unlock bankai to grow even more stronger to fight against the threats in this world.
"Yeah, and it's constantly emitting large abundance of life energy. Just holding it makes my body stronger; both physically and my vitality. Just what is this? And why the hell does it look like a peanut?!" Said Xiu Ye with a incredulous expression.
Ryūjin Jakka shrugged and said, "Don't ask me, I'm a Zanpakutō spirit and I'm not really that familiar with the life category."
Xiu Ye frowned and nodded, knowing it to be true. Although Ryūjin Jakka has helped him grow stronger, even now, and even if he is the strongest Zanpakutō, he is still quite limited. Just as he says, he is a spirit, and he isn't a local inhabitant of this world either, making him almost useless in helping in this world in terms of knowledge.
'Well, I already have the nuts teacher Wu requested, so my exam is already done. I can just ask him what these are and what are their uses.' With that mental note, Xiu Ye put the last nut of life into the pouch and put said pouch into his storage ring. Now he just has to–
Xiu Ye stopped in place as his eyes widened, what is that? Suddenly his vision started to distort and darkened, expression frozen, his breathing erratic, thoughts scrambled, mind sha–
"Oops! I forgot, you humans cannot see my true form or you'll lose your mind and sanity. Wait for a moment, I'll transform into my human form so you won't go wacko on me. Don't go insane now, alright? Cause I really need you to be both alive and sane for you to help me." A cheery and soothing voice immediately snapped Xiu Ye's mind from going insane. He quickly reinforced his mind with his spiritual power by hundreds of layers of spiritual barriers and covered several of barriers around his brain for further defense. His face turned into both angry and grimace expression.
'I let down my guard, fuck!'
Tiangou raised its black furry eyebrows in surprise and was impressed of seeing the quick response the human did to defend his mind, and also how very complex and durable the mental barriers he erected as well. The latter was even more impressive because even it had a hard time trying to bypass just a couple of its barriers, although not impossible to breakthrough it all and would take a huge amount of effort and time, it didn't have any desire to further delve into its target's mind.
Even then however, it would only be temporary.
Tiangou snorted and sharply said, "This isn't a spiritual attack you idiot, close your eyes and cancel out your spiritual sense. My form is something that no mortal should ever try to bare witness to, for their minds would crumble and quickly lose their sanity. The only reason that you are not is because your spiritual power is just a realm away from divine."
Xiu Ye was doubtful of the Deathly Hallow but he quickly did what it told him to, as he started losing his vision and his mind started going hazy, despite being covered with spiritual barriers.
"Who and what are you?" Xiu Ye asked as he summoned Ryūjin Jakka by his left hip strap. His right hand holding onto its handle and would unsheathed the blade the moment the undead beast in front of him turns hostile. He knew how to fight blind after all.
There was a moment of silence before Tiangou's entire body turned illusory, its gigantic dark cloudy body vaporized into a black mist and spun as a cyclone, causing the wind scatter and hitting Xiu Ye's face.
A brief moment later it stopped and Tiangou said. "Okay, you can open your eyes."
Xiu Ye narrowed his eyes in suspicion, adding more barriers around his mind, before opening his eyes.
He blinked.
"You've got to be kidding me..."
In front of him was not a huge nightmarish dog creature that has black cloud like fur covering its body and sharp teeth that can bite him in half, no, standing there in front of him on the ground with her pair of pale white feet was a young girl, similar in age to him.
Standing at a height of 155cm, was a young girl with golden pupils and two blood red scleras that seem to shimmer in the light of the sun; now that the mist and tall trees of the forest have turned to ashes. A cute oval-shaped face, a small straight nose and a small mouth curled up into a grin and revealed four of her teeth being sharp like canines; two teeth up, both separated from each other by two normal teeth, and two similar more below. She has long, soft, beautiful black hair that reached her buttocks and seemingly shine under the sunlight, her skin a healthy pale white, budding small breasts, and she has a slightly longer sharp nails from all her fingers and nails.
Most noticable however, is that she's naked.
Staring at the cute and naked 10 year old girl in front of him, Xiu Ye did what any boy with a adult mind would do in this situation.
"Here." He took a pair of clothes from his storage ring, he had packed some extra essentials when he took this exam.
Tiangou tilted her head to side, clear confusion on her face as she eyed the clothes handed to her by Xiu Ye. "Why?"
Xiu Ye palmer his face as he let out a frustrated sigh and said, "Just wear them."
"But, I don't know how to...?"
"Of fucking course... Come here, I'll help you wear them."
After helping Tiangou wear the clothes he gave her, the girl examining and playing around with them, Xiu Ye stood in front of her with a deadpanned expression.
'I'm in a forest and a mysterious and powerful creature suddenly appears right in front of me, and transforms into a girl. Cliche, it's so fucking cliche...'
"So, who exactly are you?" Xiu Ye finally asked.
In response, Tiangou crossed her arms together and showed a proud expression; tilting her head up with her eyes closed and the corners of her lips turn up into a wide open grin, showing her two rows of teeth and four sharp canines.
"Hehe, rejoice human. For I, Tiangou, the great Heavenly Fiend Wolf, has decided to be your partner and join you in your journey to godhood! Together, we'll be unstoppable and I'll be able to finally reunite with my master/father!"
Xiu Ye stared down at the girl/disguised human, him being taller than her by several centimeters, in front of him and let out a long resigned sigh.
