章 52: Chapter 52: Gu Yue(2)
Xiu Ye watched silently as Gu Yue talked with Wu Zhangkong before sitting down crosslegged; the two had discussed that the former would have a spar with Xie Xie and if she won, she could enter class five without any problem.
Xiu Ye just stand silently by her side, his thoughts chaotic and was troubled on what to say.
He knew who, and what she is. She is Gu Yue, the half human reincarnation of the Silver Dragon King and considered as the true Silver Dragon King between her and Na'er. She and Na'er could be considered as sisters, and when they finally fused together back into one entity they, or she, is called Gu Yuena.
What Xiu Ye could remember also, was that Gu Yue holds the elemental powers and spiritual power of the Silver Dragon King while Na'er holds the Silver Dragon Spear, the counterpart of the Golden Dragon Spear hidden in Tang Wulin's sixth bloodline seal. They disguised these as their martial souls to further fool everyone around them into thinking that they were human.
But Xiu Ye didn't care about that, what he cared about was the fate of Na'er.
Due to not really cared enough about the storylines of the Douluo Dalu series, Xiu Ye could only remember important bits and pieces of it. He knew the origins of some characters in each story, most of the story's background as well, and mostly the endgame of all of the characters.
And he remembered Na'er's endgame, fusing with Gu Yue to become one again.
He did not, want that to happen.
"Is there something you need? You've been silently staring at me for the last ten minutes, and honestly, it's starting to get creepy." Gu Yue said as she opened one of her eyes to glance at Xiu Ye, who snapped out of his thoughts after hearing her voice.
Xiu Ye rubbed the back of his head and smiled apologetically, "Sorry about that, I was just curious about you is all."
Gu Yue raised an eyebrow, her lips curled into an amused grin, "Curious how, exactly?"
Xiu Ye's lips widened into a smirk, "Well, it's not everyday you see someone so blessed with seven elements of the world."
Gu Yue's eyes widened and her jaw lowered in surprise, she didn't expect that answer coming out of Xiu Ye's mouth.
It was impossible! Her 'martial soul' was something that no one should know about except for her people. So how could this boy in front of her know about it?
Should she feign ignorance about it?
Gu Yue tilted her head to the side, smiled, and said. "Hm, I don't think I know what you're talking about."
Xiu Ye crossed his arms as he cheekily smirked. "Oh don't play dumb, see, I was born with a very abundant amount of spiritual power than normal people. To the point that, I could see these colored formless energy molecules in the air. It was hard getting used to seeing multi colored formless energies surrounding me and distinguishing what they meant, it took time, but I was able to understand what these colored energies meant: the elements and I could see their relation with someone, and right now, seven colored formless energies are surrounding you like how a chick is looking at their parent. It seeking your attention, it waits for you to them, and I know you're itching to use them right now as well." As Xiu Ye was saying all that, he had unknowingly walked around Gu Yue and was now standing in front of her, looking down at her with a smirk on his face.
Gu Yue listened to every word he said, with her face slowly turning more shocked and speechless as she continued listening.
He could see the colors of formless energy molecules around them? I know with my personal experience and knowledge, and the soul master information I had read about this world, that only those soul masters' spiritual power with a Spirit Domain Realm could see with their eyes the energies around them. This obviously meant that Xiu Ye's spiritual power is at the Spirit Domain Realm! Gu Yue knew, from what Na'er had told her, that he was a very talented soul master but she didn't know it was to this extent! He's a Soul Grandmaster with a Spirit Domain Realm Spiritual Power, and that meant, he has a spiritual domain! What kind of a monster is he!
Xiu Ye blinked his eyes as he process the voice of Gu Yue appearing in his mind. Huh, he just unlocked telepathy. Sweet!
Also, she talked with Na'er? Good. Looks like she's okay and by this point of time I'm certain that she's probably already in Shrek and the disciple/adopted-daughter of the Sea God Pavilion Master. She's safe under that world's strongest human soul master, even Di Tian would be forced to run if he confronts him.
Gu Yue's eyes narrowed, her black pupils turned purple and constricted into long slits like a dragon's eyes.
"Who and what are you?"
There was no change of atmosphere, there was no heavy pressure descending down to crush everyone, there wasn't even any other show of power.
It was just a change of eyes, and that was it.
But looking at those eyes of hers, Xiu Ye felt deep extreme fear grasping his heart tight and would not budge. He was frozen still, his expression turned grim and arms down with his hands clenched into tight fists.
This feeling....
It was the same feeling he felt when he first encountered Ryūjin Jakka.
Death.
However, unlike the last time, Xiu Ye is more experienced, skillful and powerful.
Xiu Ye snorted and a burst of spiritual energy wave appeared out of his body, elements of fire, water, earth, wind, space, light, darkness, lightning and metal surrounded him and one other person he focused thei power on, Gu Yue.
His body glowed with nine colors, almost like he was being bathed in a rainbow. Eight Elemental True Sun Domain was unleashed.
It was the first time Xiu Ye had used this domain of his, and even for a second, he could feel the massive drain his domain was doing to his spiritual power.
Xiu Ye used the light element to bend light around him and Gu Yue, masking his spiritual domain from any onlookers.
Gu Yue was throughly shocked once more, she hadn't thought that Xiu Ye would blatantly use his spiritual domain on her, stripping her control of the seven elements. What surprise her as well was the elements of metal and lightning, even she, the Silver Dragon King, didn't have the ability to produce and control these elements!
Gu Yue gritted her teeth, unable to feel that constant connection she has with the seven elements for all her entire life. She feels so... weak. Never would she thought that she would experience being helpless once more under a human. Worst, it's a mortal than a god.
If it weren't for the fact that her current form is unstable for her to unleash her true power, curse you Na'er, she would have made this boy in front of her kneel to her for this.
Xiu Ye, acting as calm as usual to hide the fact that he is struggling with the drain of his domain, then said, "Calm down, will you? I didn't show you my domain to make enemies with you."
Gu Yue growled, "Oh yeah, then what does this looks to you huh?! It looks entirely like a threat to me."
Xiu Ye calmly replied, "A show of trust. I had looked into one of your secrets without your consent, I apologize. So, in both apology and return, I'll show you one of my deepest secrets."
Gu Yue continued glaring at Xiu Ye with her dragon pupils, clearly still doubting him, but the anger in her eyes slowly cooled down.
"...Why?"
Xiu Ye retracted his spiritual domain back, thankful that she had calmed down as he was about to be depleted with spiritual power a couple of seconds later, he scratched his cheek and said. "I want to be your friend."
Gu Yue blinked owlishly at his words, she blinked twice, then thrice....
"Huh?"
Xiu Ye giggled at her dumbfounded expression. He raised his right hand towards her, saying, "Hi, my name is Xiu Ye."
Gu Yue continued staring at him, her dragon pupils returning back to human pair of eyes, and said with a low tone of voice. "Are you an idiot?"
Xiu Ye clearly heard that and just shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe."
Gu Yue stared at him in doubt and suspicion, before taking his hand slowly and shaking it reluctantly. "Hi, uh, you already know my name."
"I know." Xiu Ye smiled mysteriously.
