章 46: Chapter 46: Revelation
Xiu Ye menacingly stared down, with his arms crossed together, at the kneeling Tang Wulin, sweat dripping down the latter's pale face.
They were currently in Wulin's dorm room, as they had to transport an unconscious body into his bed so he could heal up.
As for Tang Wulin's other dorm mates? They were frightened by Xiu Ye's appearance and the body they were carrying with them, so they made excuses to head somewhere else out of the room.
Xiu Ye exhaled a sigh of frustration. "So, when you said you needed help in carrying a body... You meant you needed help with carrying the unconscious boy there, Xie Xie, back here without looking suspicious that can get you the attention of the police. Am I right?"
Tang Wulin nodded his head rapidly like a wood pecker.
Xiu Ye rubbed his temple and took a seat on his cousin's bed. "For a minute there, I really thought you had killed someone and you needed help with hiding the body and the evidence. You really need to word things out better next time bro."
"Okay, hold up, why would you think that I killed someone?!" Tang Wulin said with a speechless expression.
Xiu Ye hold up his hands placating. "Like I said, better word things out of what you say, so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings."
"But still, you really thought that I killed someone? Seriously? Where's the trust between us?" Tang Wulin's eyes started to appear wet, tears threatening to burst out.
Xiu Ye rolled his eyes. "Wulin, I trust you with my life, okay? But the situations you go through in life? Yeah, no. I wouldn't trust your everyday life you go through to be normal. I mean, just the same day that I first meet you that we encountered a real life human trafficking situation. That shit doesn't normally happens to anyone, much less in a small city like Glorybound City. So, you killing someone? Yeah, that would both surprise and shock me but I would expect it nonetheless."
"..." Tang Wulin stared flatly at his cousin. He couldn't really rebuke what he had said but, wasn't it also the same for Xiu Ye as well?
Xiu Ye let out a sigh and stood up. "Alright, I'm going back to my dorm room, curfew's about to start. Also, we didn't need to go to the blacksmith association today after all. Grandmaster Cen Yue said that he had some meeting with some important people he had to attend to, so we couldn't go back there until tomorrow night."
"Okay." Tang Wulin nodded in understanding and stood up from his position. His expression soon turned however, like he wanted to speak about something but was hesitant to do.
Xiu Ye noticed this, after all, he had come to know this money grubber for three years now. He knows a lot of what Wulin's expressions tells. "Wulin? Is there something you wanted to talk about?"
Tang Wulin blinked his eyes and nodded. "Yeah, there's something that's been bugging me for a while, ever since I had fought Xie Xie."
Xiu Ye's brow raised. "And this something is...?"
Tang Wulin let out a sigh. "During my fight against Xie Xie, despite the huge soul power difference between us, I was winning against him. I had more combat experience and skills than him after all."
"Everything was going well, I was going to defeat him quickly because he had more soul power than me so a battle of attrition would result in his victory. The battle progress with a spear's tip, inches away from his neck, with his butt on the ground and his face plastered with a shocked expression. It was my win."
Xiu Ye nodded and immediately understood what was going on. "Well, I think what's been bothering you, is the fact you've finally got your first official win in a fight against a soul master at the same age. You're just in shock that you'd finally gotten a win, don't worry, it'll pass."
"What? No! It's not that–well maybe at some part of it is, but no! Just as I thought that our fight was over, Xie Xie had threw his martial soul at me, I dodged but it had nicked my face a little. After that, a golden light appeared around my right arm and for a moment, I lost control, causing me to punch his face knocking him unconscious." Tang Wulin exhaled after explaining. His face appearing confused and wanted answers.
Xiu Ye remained calm and collected. He knew what that golden light is, his divine dragon bloodline has awakened. But he wanted to know something first. "When you punched him, did you still have reinforcement on?"
Tang Wulin shook his head. "No. When the golden light appeared, all of my soul power was rapidly being depleted so I couldn't use reinforcement."
Xiu Ye let out a sigh of relief. The current arm strength of the Golden Dragon King was one capable of easily punching through several concrete pillars, add that to reinforcement, even a soul elder would be punched into paste meat. Even though it looked like Xie Xie survived mostly unarmed, except for his usual handsome face had turned into a pig face, there was no telling if there was any internal injuries in his skull.
But then came another problem. Should he tell Tang Wulin about the Golden Dragon King bloodline now? Or, should he tell him about his entire true heritage? Xiu Ye thought about it and shook his head.
No. Tang Wulin is currently too young and too weak. If he knew about his entire heritage, it may affect his mind and spirit towards his cultivation from the pressure of living up to the greatest soul master in history, Tang San. Who which, in Xiu Ye's opinion, is a massive dick.
After all, who fucking threatens to kill a child?! In canon, if Xiu Ye remembers it clearly, Tang San had come down to the mortal world to comfort his daughter, Tang Wutong, who had been told that the child of their enemy was the child of her boyfriend/fiance Huo Yuhao.
Though, with the revelation of Huo Yuhao being a possible reincarnated person, possibly someone from his world, Xiu Ye wasn't really certain anymore of the world's current history.
"Ye, do you know what's going on with me?" Tang Wulin asked a scared expression.
Well, since canon is already long fucked and Tang Wulin would want to grow stronger, Xiu Ye decided to tell him about his Golden Dragon King bloodline. He would only later tell him about his relation with Tang San when his mature enough to handle the information, probably when he's fifteen years old.
Xiu Ye let out a sigh and sat back down, "Well, I do know what's going on with you. Problem is however, is where I should start."
"What do you mean?" Tang Wulin asked with a confused expression.
"Well, should I start from the beginning, middle or end?"
"...The beginning."
"The beginning huh... Well then, have you heard about the Dragon God? Legend has it that a long time ago, the Dragon God started roaming the galaxy not long after he was born. At some point, he acquired destruction/chaos and life/creation energy. Later, he found a planet and was prepared to settle down on the planet. That planet was this Douluo Planet. Thereupon, he began creating his first-generation children."
"After a very long time, humankind was born on multiple planets including the Douluo Planet. The Dragon God created the Divine Realm and relied on its power to reign over the divine beasts and gods in the Divine Realm."
"The 9 sons of the Dragon God that were also the Nine Great Dragon Kings descended to all the planets so they could pass down their legacy. They were the Dragon God's direct line of descendants and were also real dragons."
"At some point, the Dragon God went on a rampage throughout the Gods' Realm, leading to a great war with the humanoid gods. In the end, the Dragon God was defeated by the Realm's enforcer, the Asura God. However, it could not be fully killed and instead was split into the Golden Dragon King and Silver Dragon King. Afterward, the Golden Dragon King was sealed away by the gods, whereas the Silver Dragon King managed to flee and entered a deep hibernation in some unknown location."
Tang Wulin stared at Xiu Ye in wonder and awe at the story he gave. The legend of the Dragon God? The ancestor of all soul beasts? This wasn't in any history books he'd read before! "That was a really cool story, and I have questions on how you got it, but what does this have anything to do with my situation?"
Xiu Ye then said. "Because, what happened to you was due to the awakening of your bloodline, specifically the Golden Dragon King bloodline."
"..." Tang Wulin stared at his cousin with a blank and shocked expression, his brain had malfunction. "I'm sorry but, did you just say that I have a freaking divine dragon inside of me?"
"Yup, oh and if you don't further advance your bloodline, you'll die."
