Nami placed a necklace on my neck, it had an enchantment that allowed the user to understand foreign languages… I guess speaking would've been too much
"Nami where did you get this?"
"When we went to the market, a girl was selling them"
"Is that so…" Putting that thought to the back to my head I turned to the girl behind the counter
"Miss receptionist we have herbs we wish to sell is it possible?"
"Yes it is Hiyori-san"
I reached into my storage space and retrieved the bag of herbs...
"Zatras-sama!!!!!"
The door to the guild was burst opened a man drenched in sweat came in calling for someone.
"Where is Zatras-sama???"
"I am here what is all this fuss about?" A man who looked to be middle-aged came out of a room looking pretty displeased.
"Zatras-Sama there are packs of berserk monsters showing up near the border of the forest, it has already taken the life of several adventurers"
Zatras whispered something to the receptionist and yelled at the top of his lungs
"We are going to subjugate those monsters, anyone available will have to follow and help. If we leave them be the life of many will be taken"
And just like that the three of us got stuck in a subjugation quest as our first.
Nami approached and whispered to me "Hiyori-sama is this really okay? To work with hyumans?"
"Shhh as long as we can make something out of it"
Takashi, on the other hand, had an excited expression, I guess he wanted to test out the blade he had on his waist.
It took us several hours to get near the border of the forest, if it had been just us, we could have arrived much earlier but that would draw too much unnecessary attention
"Alright, set the base and group up in an hour!!!"- Zatras-sama
"Hiyori-sama would you like to try this?' -Nami
"Sure, but let's sit under there" I pointed to a tree nearby
Once the other adventures saw us, they started to scuff us, it didn't bother me but I could feel as if Nami or Takashi would shred them to pieces if I didn't stop them.
"Hiyori-san~~~~"
Ugh …. Nine
I gazed in his direction for a moment before continuing to munch on what Nami gave me.
"Hiyori-san I apologize if my comment earlier was distasteful" He bowed his head
My gaze somewhat wavered
"Gather!!!!"
Ah … right we are here to exterminate pests
"The scouts have spotted Berserk Giant Wolfs, Aura foxes, and goblins. Our biggest problem are the berserk wolfs, teams of at least ten will approach them, newcomers will hunt down the goblins and help exterminate the aura foxes"- Zatras "Don't get killed"
Takashi, Nami, and I directed ourselves to where the aura foxes and berserk wolfs where.
"Separate and make sure not to be reckless"
"yes" Nami & Takashi
I'm not someone who likes conflict but maybe it's this body's desire to fight as I can feel my body vibrate with excitement, I reached to my side and grabbed my sword.
I stood in place trying to control the excitement in my body, Nine saw me as a wolf approached horror filled his eyes thinking I would be devoured.
"Hiyori!!!"
At that moment he saw my body "vanish" from the spot only to appear in mid-air above the wolf. I started rotating down and sliced the wolf's head in one blow. The blood splashed on me, giving me an eerie aura.
They gashed at me with their claws and fangs. Evading and slicing through the enemy, it felt… like my body was finally alive.
b_dum....b_dum....b_dum
"Heartbeats?"
turning my gaze I saw Nine standing there stunned, behind him an aura fox.
[Dark Blaze]
The blaze got to its target, but Nine seemed petrified.
"Nine? are you okay"
He snapped out of his trance and looked towards me with an awkward expression.
"And here I thought I was going to save the damsel in distress"- Nine
"Pfffft hahaha"
"Don't laugh, I thought you needed help. Give me some credit, would ya?" He wore a wronged expression but I guess his intentions were good.
"Fine~~"
Advancing through more Berserk Giant Wolfs appeared

Nine conjured wind-based spells with me covering for him while he did. It had me question why such a long chant is needed.
