Chapter 34 — Sasaki.
The next morning, Jason went to the Toha Heavy Industry to meet with Sasaki. He naturally wanted to talk about the plan about the merging of the two rival companies with her. There was also about his intention of handing Ochiai's knowledge to Sasaki since he didn't needed most of it.
"Do you perhaps don't like the details regarding about the plan?" Jason asked carefully.
"No, I don't find any problems," Sasaki agreed with his proposal, contrary to Jason's expectation.
"Eh, are you serious? Although I want this plan to happen, you must know that not only will Toha Heavy Industry merge with Kunato Development, but we'll also change the name to suit the unity of the two," Jason was quite surprised about her agreeing so quickly, making him feel confuse.
Sasaki nodded seriously, not trying to even play with Jason.
"I'm fine with changing such a small thing, but you must be the one to decide on naming the new merged company. That's the only way I and the others would accept it."
Sasaki didn't minded about changing the name, or even the plan of merging the two companies. Her carefree grandfather wouldn't also mind If he was in her shoes. The same goes for the other workers.
After all, it was for the unification and greater good of Sidonia. It was also their wish to someday unite with Kunato Development instead of simply watching them collapse, thereby acquiring their resources and manpower, allowing them to proceed with many more things to hasten the development of Sidonia's weaponry and research progress.
Besides, Jason was the one who proposed the plan to them. He was Toha Heavy Industry's greatest benefactor because without him, they wouldn't have been able to revive. Jason even though of this beneficial plan in order to allow Toha Heavy Industry to grow more powerful and influential without the risk of getting overthrown again.
Jason who cared deeply about the present and future situation of Toha Heavy Industry naturally touched Sasaki's heart and trust.
Jason was glad that Sasaki agreed, and decided to tell Norio about this later on.
"I'm grateful for you accepting my plan, but I will need some time to decide on what name to choose."
"Sure, no problem since I think this plan will take some time."
Although it was him who needed to name the future merged company, Jason didn't mind too much. It will allow his influence and power to grow even more.
"Now forget about the plan. I also came here to talk about something else," Jason took his smart tablet which contained every knowledge accumulated by Ochiai.
Sasaki looked at it curiously, "What do you mean by something else?"
"I actually found a lot of useful knowledge from Ochiai's remains," Jason gave Sasaki the smart tablet.
"O-Ochiai!? How did you manage to obtain all of it!? Isn't it forbidden to look through his remains?" Sasaki received the tablet while appearing shocked.
"Shh, please keep it a secret," Jason placed his finger over her red moist lips.
"Ah fine! Quickly get your finger off my lips!"
"Hehe, sorry..."
"Anyway, did you perhaps obtain Ochiai's taboo knowledge about Chimera Monster...?"
Jason shook his head, "Just see it for yourself by reading the tablet."
Nodding her head, Sasaki immediately started to skimmed through the various contents within the tablet.
"See, I don't have the taboo knowledge, perhaps Ochiai already destroyed it,"Jason naturally didn't included those taboo knowledge in the smart tablet, only the necessary things that Sasaki needed to know.
"...!" Sasaki widened her eyes after reading the various contents.
The Particle Theory of H-Field... The Complete Foundation Of Self-Growth Artificial Intelligence... Cybernetics... And Medical Nanobots.
However, what captured Sasaki's attention the most were the Particle Theory of H-Field(with Mr. Alien's side notes), the Complete Foundation of Artificial Intelligence, and the few ideas about weapon-based Nanobots.
"T-This!! So amazing..." Sasaki was quite thrilled after learning about the H-Field and Artificial Intelligence.
Although she was an excellent genius when it comes to creating mechanical weapons, she was lacking when it comes to Artificial Intelligence, as she focused less on it. If she managed to completely learn about the Complete Foundation of Self-Growth Artificial Intelligence, then she might finally able to create a new state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence that could provide various helps to speed up the development, research, and work progresses.
There was also about the unique force field known as H-field which could revolutionised many things within Sidonia. Such examples were the engine reactors, and the lacking defensive and supporting systems of Sidonia itself.
As for the weapon-based nano technology, there were countless potentials, but it was it was still pretty hard to immediately create something that can contend against the Gauna Race.
"I can't believe that Ochiai was also quite proficient with other areas other than his Gauna Bio-Technology... I feel somehow inferior," Sasaki said while feeling quite envious.
Jason started to pat her shoulder.
"Don't compare yourself to Ochiai. In fact, I and Mr. Alien see more potential within you, Sasaki. Besides, you must know that Ochiai has live for many centuries compared to you, making him have more time to research and develop his skill in many areas. Also, he didn't even passed most of his knowledge to Sidonia, keeping it all for himself."
Sasaki was comforted by those words, causing her to laugh lightly.
"Thank you, Jason. I'll do my best to meet with your expectations."
"I don't need it, so please just keep it for yourself. No pressure, I mean."
"Haha, how about no?"
"..."
Jason and Sasaki stared at each other before laughing aloud.
"By the way, can I transfer Ochiai's knowledge within your tablet into my own tablet?"
"Sure," Jason nodded without minding about it too much.
Sasaki soon started to transfer the entire knowledge into her own tablet.
While waiting for the transfer to finish, Sasaki remembered Yure.
"Do you mind if I share the Cybernetics and Medical Nanobots with Yure? I think it will help her a lot."
"Okay, but I doubt it will help her that too much. As far as I know, she has already surpassed Ochiai in terms of Cybernetics and Human Bio-Technology. Still, I guess Medical Nanobots will help her explore about different medical areas than what she usually focus on."
"I'll share it with her later then," Sasaki smiled widely.
Like Kobayashi and the others, she was also very grateful for Jason helping Toha Heavy Industry once again.
She loved how Jason wasn't that selfish as a human.
And thus she promised to repay him back with any means like providing him with a much more powerful Guardian Knight that was also very unique and special.
However, Sasaki was just thinking too highly about Jason.
He was selfish as any humans.
All Jason wanted was to survive perfectly without dying in his second life. He didn't wanted to once again live so pathetically like his first life that also ended so abruptly.
And thus, helping the last remnants of humanity was just a stepping stone for his grand goal.
