章 7: Master Roshi is still Master Roshi
Waking up the next morning Yozu realized Goku was about to attempt to sleep on his crotch, but before Goku could he was already stopped by Bulma who rolled in her sleep hugging Yozu like a body pillow. "Morning Goku, you best not try to sleep on strangers. It's wrong" Hearing Yozu's teaching Goku nodded as he went out to train.
Yozu gently shifted Bulma without disturbing her as he climbs out of the bed, "Hmm... Yozu" Bulma began to move her hands searching for something till she came across Yozu's pillow, pulling it close to her face as she relaxes. Yozu smiled warmly as he went to cook breakfast for them, he could hear the sound of rocks breaking. 'As I thought, the boy is strong' Yozu thought till he heard a shrill scream that was loud enough to wake Bulma from her pleasant sleep.
Yozu and Bulma came outside to see Turtle next to Goku, "Huh? Turtle why are you here instead of by Master Roshi?" Hearing Yozu's voice Turtle turn to gaze in Yozu's direction, when he saw Yozu he leap at him "Yozu!!! Thank god you are here! I was lost for an entire year!" Turtle began to cry, Bulma was shocked "A Talking turtle huh? You mean this turtle is one of Master Roshi's pets?" Turtle glared at Bulma, "I am not a pet, I'm a turtle!" Bulma rolled her eyes 'Yeah we can see that alright' she thought.
After hearing his explanation Yozu gave him some seaweed to eat while He, Bulma and Goku ate breakfast. Yozu handed the car keys to Bulma when he activated his capsule, "You drive" He gently kissed Bulma's cheek causing her to blush while gazing lovingly at Yozu who picked up Turtle and helped him get into the back seat. Yozu himself climbed onto the roof.
"What are you doing Yozu?" Goku asked Yozu seeing how Yozu was lifting his body up straight with a single hand, "I will be training as we deliver Turtle back to his home" Hearing the word training Goku got onto the roof as well, he tried to mimic Yozu's stance but once Bulma started the car and drove he began to drop all over the roof.
While maintaining his balance, Yozu began to mould his dragon Ki to pulse throughout his body while most of it was concentrated on his free right hand. Goku being stubborn kept trying and trying till he managed to get himself to stand without problem by using both of his hands, "How do you do that?" Goku asked Yozu again, Yozu chuckled "With training" This answer might piss off most people but Goku nodded thinking it was a reasonable answer.
They travelled for a while till they came across a bandit armoured Beastman who stood in the middle of the road, "Hand over the turtle and your mo-- UWAAA!!!" Before he could finish his words Yozu sent a shockwave generated from his Dragon Ki he unleashed sending the beastman flying, "Whoa! I know grandpa could do this, he told me I am still too young to do that" Goku muttered as he glances at Yozu with Envy.
They continued their journey unhindered as Yozu continued to mould his dragon Ki, [Yozu, your training has been quite interesting. It is completely different from how Dragon Aura was used in my previous world, however, there was a rival of my previous host who trained his body to the highest degree to unlike touki] Ddraig began to tell Yozu the tale of Sairaorg, from what Yozu gathered was that Sairaorg probably managed to tap into his inner Ki by making use of his fighting spirit as the medium for it.
Yozu had an idea of how to recreate this technique as well, although the idea he had was different. It was a story Master Roshi once told him about Korin's Tower, Yozu did make a mental note to visit the tower. Soon they reached the sea, "The sea!" Turtle yelled out loud with excitement which prompted Yozu to open the door fast for him, "Wait for me here Yozu, I will call Master Roshi to reward you for helping me!" The turtle swim away.
Bulma was not bothered the least bit while Goku was having fun standing on one hand despite the car was standing still this time, "Yozu, one of the dragon balls are approaching us from the sea" Bulma called out to Yozu when she activated the Radar out of boredom, as expected Master Roshi came carrying the Dragonball attached to his necklace. Seeing Master Roshi coming even Goku was curious as he got off the car roof to meet with the old man.
"It has been a while Yozu, Bulma. How have you two been?" Roshi came walking closer only to get smacked by Bulma before he could even do a thing, "Ouch! Violent as ever" Roshi added on while Bulma was ready to beat him up but Yozu pulled her into his embrace to calm her down. "Master, this kid here is a potential disciple" Yozu pointed at Goku.
"Who is this old man?" Goku asked, hearing this Master Roshi began to gloat as he stands proud as if the morning sun was shining brightly behind him "I'm the Kame Sennin! My name is Roshi and you may call me none other than Master Roshi!" Goku nodded at Roshi's introduction looking surprised making Roshi gloat even more.
But more than that Master Roshi was quite excited at the prospect of a disciple, however, since he was a master of a school he still had to keep his image in mind so he regained his composure and started to act as a master "I will think about it, but since it is a reward for saving turtle..."
Yozu smirked as he points at the dragon ball "The dragon ball would do" Hearing Yozu's request Roshi was not bothered, he took off the necklace with the ball handing it over to Yozu, when Roshi turned to face Goku "I will give you a gift you can use to find me when you are ready to train earnestly"
Roshi had a faint blush on his face as he could remember this was something he could not use, so he was giving away something that was useless to him "Flying Nimbus!" Upon hearing Roshi's summons a golden cloud came flying swiftly towards them before coming to a complete halt before Roshi, "This is flying Nimbus, you can use this to fly in the skies" Goku looked curiously at the cloud before turning to Roshi with a confused face "How do I eat this?"
Roshi slipped falling on his turtle shell attached to his back, he got back onto his feet after struggling as he swipe his sweat looking at the face of Goku 'I almost thought the boy is an idiot for a moment, but to think he lacks the common sense to this degree' Roshi thought.
Master Roshi realized that Goku was indeed a good choice for a student since a pure single-minded person is more prone to train properly. "It is not food boy! It's a companion that can take you anywhere you wish in the skies" speaks with Goku in the tone of an elder teaching his grandson.
"Wow, I can fly!?" Goku was getting eager to jump onto the cloud but he was stopped by Roshi, "There is a catch to fly on Nimbus, Only a person with a pure heart can ride on it" Roshi spoke with a proud tone as he walked with his back up straight, "Let this master show you how it's done" Roshi muttered as he jumps towards Nimbus only to phase through the cloud crashing into the ground on his back, "IYA!!! My back!" Roshi complained as he held his back.
Yozu began to laugh as he knew his master was the last person on earth to have a pure heart, 'This pervert' He thought with a smirk, Bulma wanted to try it as well but Yozu stopped her as he explained to her what it meant to be pure of heart, hearing his explanation Bulma realized that only this little monkey had a shot. Just as she called it the moment Goku jumped he landed perfectly on the cloud, "Heehah!!!" Goku took Nimbus for a ride around the skies.
Meanwhile, Yozu spoke with Roshi to catch up on the times. Later the afternoon Goku calmed down flying back down to where Yozu and Bulma were chatting with Roshi. "Thanks for the Gift Kame Sennin!" Goku thanked Roshi, "No problem boy, when you feel ready. You should come to visit my Kame Island!" Roshi spoke while he got on Turtle's back, "Take care Yozu, keep training hard. Don't focus it all on girls you hear me?" Roshi yelled as Turtle swim further and further away but Yozu could hear the jealousy in his master's voice.
"He still is the same old pervert" Bulma spoke with a faint trace of anger, she has gotten used to this old Man's habit so she beat him up before he can cause mischief towards her. Yozu chuckled as he gently caresses Bulma's hair "Let's go, we have a long way ahead of us" Bulma nodded as she climbed into the driving seat and this time Yozu was in the passenger seat, Goku chose to fly on Nimbus.
a few days have passed since the three of them travelled along the way, Yozu had continued his training while occasionally he sparred with Goku although he did not get serious. He realized that Goku was a dare or die genius kind where he only gets stronger under dangerous circumstances where he fights, this was a great talent but also dangerous as one could never tell when they face an enemy that would give them the time to actually get stronger.
Shortly they arrived in a village where it was eery quiet, devoid of people yet it has shown signs of people had just recently been outside. "The villagers are inside the houses" Yozu spoke with a solemn tone, Goku nodded as he glances innocently at the houses "I sense people here" Before Yozu could stop Goku, the boy kicked the door open revealing a shadow leaping towards Goku but Yozu grasped the old man's wrist before he could attack.
The old man freaked out as he began to apologize like a madman begging for Oolong to leave his daughter alone, it took a good long while for the old man to calm down enough for him to realize that Yozu, Bulma and Goku were not Oolong. Shortly afterwards the villagers all came out of their houses, soon everyone came to greet Yozu who happily chatted with them to gather information.
"Our village has been repeatedly terrorized by Oolong, he has an ability to transform himself into strange creatures which are terrifying. And every time he appears, he demands young girls from our village" The old man explained to Yozu, as he continued "It was just yesterday he came transformed into an Oni and demanded my daughter today, he is a real pervert who took a number of village girls and said if we resist he will eat us"
Yozu raised his brow listening to this old man's story thinking it really was easy to manipulate people who live in the backwater town, 'This Oolong probably educated enough to manipulate people who did not have much education, he is probably a low-level villain' Yozu thought "Do you perhaps have a ball like this?" Yozu brings out a dragon ball, seeing this the old man was confused but an old lady was surprised "I have a ball like that!"
Yozu smirked as he heard the old lady's confirmation "Great, since you have a problem. Let's talk business" Yozu muttered, he was not a saint who would help others he did not know of for free. But he was not a scum to steal from powerless people either, it was a business transaction.
