Losing You Once and Thousand More
Every time I read stories about partings, and almosts, and nevers, I constantly remember you. Each moment I walk on rains, or look up to fireworks, or watch the sundown, I wish you're next to me. Whenever I go to libraries or museums, I see you in every poetry and artwork. I feel you in every frame and in every page.
And my love, I find it hard to breathe whenever I hear your name. I find it hard to laugh when I get sudden flashbacks of you. I find it hard to sleep when every cold night reminds me of us. I find it hard to love again because I find it hard to stop wanting you; even that also means losing you in everything that I do.
I lost you once,
and I never thought
I would be able
to lose you
a thousand more.
