章 100: Chapter 100: Natsu Vs. Jellal (END)
The entire floor, including Jellal, was engulfed in a gigantic explosion. The walls and the floor crumbled down due to the unstable structure. Jellal breathed heavily, removing debris off his body. Natsu slowly approached his position and grabbed him by the neck, making him look straight into his eyes.
"Jellal, you see, someone asked me not to kill you. I really want to butcher you for all the trouble you gave to Erza, but I guess even Erza wouldn't be all that happy were I to kill you." Natsu said, coldly glaring at his face.
"Then, what do you want?" Jellal asked, looking at him warily. He had a bad feeling about what would happen next.
"Heh… What I want is simple. I want to crush all your dreams with my own hands." Natsu replied with a sadistic smirk, making Jellal come to a horrifying realization.
"Don't you dare…" Jellal didn't even manage to finish his words when Natsu sent him flying toward the wall, obliterating it in the process. Jellal stood up with wobbling feet, glaring at Natsu.
"Who do you think you are to order me? I'll do whatever I want. Fire Dragon's Roasting Bath!" Natsu said, blasting flames all over the tower, causing the atmospheric temperature to rise enormously. The lacrima started melting all around him, becoming somewhat unstable.
"Stop it, 'Salamander'!! How dare you destroy the fruit of my struggle after all these years." Jellal shouted, dashing toward his location while trying to stop him. But all he got in response was a cold snort and a powerful kick in the guts, making him crash into and destroy another wall.
Natsu raised his magic level further and further, making the entire island start shaking due to its sheer intensity. The flames surrounding him began to turn darker and darker, making him look just like the incarnation of the devil himself.
"Amaterasu Mode!" Natsu muttered, activating his final form for the first time. His hair started turning pitch-black, just like the flames surrounding his body. His scarf had a blazing black fire over it, which strangely didn't burn it at all. His magic level sharply increased once again, making even the surrounding ocean shake. Winds started picking up rapidly, and the waves began rising, signifying the impending disaster on the island.
Jellal was shocked beyond belief while watching this. He never knew someone could be so powerful.
"How can you be so powerful? Only Lord Zeref should be that powerful, and he's dead." Jellal asked in disbelief. He didn't want to believe that someone younger than him could be so powerful.
"And who said Zeref is dead?" Natsu couldn't help himself from asking this question while walking toward Jellal's place. Jellal was shocked, hearing such a sudden question rendering him unable to answer.
Natsu soon reached his place and looked at him sharply, making him flinch away.
"Tell me something? You say Zeref this Zeref that, but do you know what his family name is?" Natsu asked Jellal, making him unable to answer. He never found the last name of the infamous wizard, but he didn't dwell on it too much since he felt it wasn't that important.
"Then let me tell you a little secret as a parting token. Zeref's last name is Dragneel. Zeref Dragneel, that's the full name of the infamous dark wizard that's known throughout Fiore." Natsu leaked a little secret, making Jellal shocked beyond belief.
"Then, that means you're…" Jellal couldn't finish his sentence when Natsu grabbed hold of his skull and releasing a vast amount of flames on his elbows to powerfully threw him into the floor, making him crash through all the way to the bottom.
"Don't finish that sentence. As I said, it's a parting gift." Natsu said, looking around the island. The entire island had been crystallized due to the lacrima and was falling apart rapidly due to his destructive actions.
"Tch… I guess I got a little too excited. Now, I have to deal with this troublesome tower." Natsu clicked his tongue in annoyance and started preparing for an attack to wipe the entire island off the map, but he was interrupted by someone shouting at him.
"Natsu-sama!!" Juvia arrived at the place with hurried breath and tears leaking out of her eyes. She was delighted to see him alive and well.
"Juvia? What are you doing here? Didn't you leave with the others? It's too dangerous here. The tower is becoming more and more unstable. It'll blow up soon." Natsu asked her, but it looked like she didn't pay much attention to him.
"Thank god you're safe. I was worried sick when the 'Etherion' blast arrived." Juvia said while leaning against the wall tiredly. She spent most of her energy running toward his location at top speed, making her incredibly tired.
Natsu reached out to her and dispelled his flames, making it safer for her to touch him. His flames were like an extension of him, so he could easily control them, but he didn't want to risk it when he's getting used to the new form.
"Let's get going then, Juvia. This island's going to blow up soon." Natsu carried Juvia on his back and flew off, but not before sending a small wisp of flame in the direction of the unstable lacrima.
"Amaterasu: Devour!" The small wisp of flame, when it touched the surface of the crystal, rapidly expanded, devouring all the stored energy inside the lacrima. Soon, the entire island was covered by pitch-black flames, rapidly burning it into smithereens. Luckily, or unluckily, Jellal was embedded in a coffin-sized lacrima and sank deep into the ocean.
Natsu and Juvia flew around the island and spotted some boats. It looked like everyone managed to escape the island just in time. Natsu sneakily sent a small spark of flame towards the slave traders' boats, sinking them. He thought those scumbags were better off dead than alive. He also found Ikaruga in a boat with her comrades. He left them alone since he kind of admired her. He'd already put a tracker on them in case he ever needed to find them.
Finally, he noticed his friend's boat far away from the island. He hurriedly flew over there while carrying Juvia on his back. Juvia was strangely quiet the whole time, making him wonder if there was anything wrong with her.
Natsu just shook his head, thinking it was unnecessary and descended the boat, making everyone on board look at him with a relieved expression.
"Yo! I'm back!" Natsu tried to greet them with a casual expression, but everyone just rolled their eyes at him. How could he be so relaxed after the previous events?
(A/N: And, I finally made it up to a hundred chapters for this story. Hurray!! I was tired of many good fanfictions getting dropped before it even reached a hundred chapters mark. Therefore, I started writing fanfiction myself to challenge myself to see whether I have the patience to keep on writing until I reach this goal. And I'm glad I managed to reach this milestone. You can't believe how satisfied I'm feeling right now. I'm always reading your comments to improve myself. I'm glad to receive so much positive feedback from my readers. I don't mind the negative comments at all. It just means that I have something more to improve. And I'm always delighted to see my P.atreon supporters. With their support, I feel like what I'm doing isn't a waste of time but a genuine hobby. Honestly, I didn't start writing fanfiction to make money. I already have an established YouTube channel where I earn more than a hundred times making videos rather than writing. And, some of you asked me what my channel name is.
