just capturing a pokemon & raising it cost too much for a random Civilian....
much less getting a starter pokemon like in anime & games ....
apparently the act of getting starter pokemon is only for previlaged ....
for those in society with minor amount of previlaged pays the pokemon alliance to apply for a proper starter for their children after using lots of their allocated privileges ...despite that all they get are some low potential , low class , low species pokemons .....
on the other hand alliance officers or equivalents of various organizations have their children take medium potential pokemons with possibilities of reaching king tier or above if taken extreme care off ...
for top tier alliance , clan or co operations related personnels they get 3 royal breed regional pokemons or clan/co-operation specialty pokemons .....

Which lead to present scene of tan walking with few others kids of his age of whole extented stone clan.....in a cave behind main branch manor
until they stood infront of few massive hives ....they were gigantic in proportions ...
the hive was of fucking...BELDUMS , METANGS & GOD FUCKING PSEUDO LEGENDARIES METAGROSS...
now if he was only a branch clan member he would have almost got Aron , Ryhorn or onix for starter pokemon...Aron only for the fact his father was a branch family head ...but due to the fact his father & mother both died during an assault at the beldum hive by some powerful pokemon poachers ...by the time whole reinforcement arrived his parents were dead with taking the almost all poachers lives with them leaving a few who were caught/interrogated/tortured/killed by the reinforcement team...
so there wasn't anybody left to take revenge of for him for his parents death ...
but they did left him with a small fortune of a villa estate in outskirts of mossdeep city...it a villa surrounded by large hills & enormous multi layered wall plus various security devices like electric wire fences powered by solar panels .....the estate mainly had two herds of miltanks & ryhorns...well miltanks were pretty much his caretakers since then as they tended to the berry farm ....on the other hand the ryhorn herd were leisurely as they eat grass(top qualified pokemon feed grass )on the villa estate and loiter around ....both herds together gave him lots of berries, milks and sheded flexible steel hides at certain intervals...tan just needed to monitor and help them time to time ...
at a certain interval every month staffs of stone clan comes to exchange them for pokedollars and tan's necessity...
on the other hand due to being not monitored he started doing all sorts of weird experiments...
thankfully he refused any sorts of caretakers from clan . otherwise he would have already been labeled as maniac
long story short he lived like that for 2 years until he came here to receive his first pokemon at 8 years age like every other clan kid .....
but for him he is getting a beldum ....
leading him to get the perfect opportunity to use his fruit of 2 years which he made after merging & researching databases from his previous life & current life...
it was now present in form of spectacle (glasses ) on him ...
it was a simplest pokemon analyst he developed.....
thankfully he hid it from all others other wise he is pretty much sure he will be arranged to be one of key researcher seedling for clan ...he will get wealth , power & resources on one hand but on another hand he will be pressed under lots of responsibility & restrictions until he becomes one of the elders or executives of clan or Devon co-operation...he will get lots of benefit for being a clan member on top of that...non clan members in co-operation doesn't get the clan benefits.....well nepotism works every where.....
but all things considered he isn't very keen on losing his freedom...so which lead to him keeping his talent, hardwork & inventions secret...
But considering all things he was reaping the benefits now as few rows of data came in his spectacles which only he could see due to his special lens ,

well this was the stat shown for the front metagross which was communicating with the instructor who lead them here .....
after few minutes lots of beldums of almost same shape and size came infront them ,
the kids started to whisper & gossip among them selves ...well except tan who was analyzing the beldums ,

well lots of them were even more exceptional also ...
while tan was analyzing and Kids were gossiping the instructor clapped his hands to attract attention,
" Ok enough!!!! stop gossiping....now each of you brats will chose 2 beldums .....Each of you will take them with you and train them for 4 years until we will be here again 4 years later .....based on the results of raising of them , creating synergy between both so that they could evolve or just simply how strong & healthy they are .....the hive will judge weather you will get 2 more of them so that eventually you will get a metagross . very few in our clan passed this hardle and those who did are or were core of the clan.....but dont get your Hope's high as despite that few among those very few earlier evolves a metagross....each one of these few individuals are our Clan Executives/ Elders ..... Now take 2 standard pokeballs from here (points at few sacks filled with pokeballs) and take your chosen 2 beldums.....Also in case some of you need help in raising and guidance of your beldums take help from the hive"
All hell broke loose and each kids were racing & pushing each other to get the better beldum ...
but one thing they missed is that the weird branch clan kid aka tan was grinning like a maniac as he already chosen and caught the 2 beldums of his choice.....
