Naomi looked at the bathroom door and considered the men outside.  They believed they were superior to others, and that had come through last night.  David and Joan had convinced them that she was a non-believer and deserved to be s*xually use.

Over all her years on this mission, she had ceased any willingness to commit to a religion, because she had observed how people were willing to pervert it for their own benefit and how David had used religion to get ready to launch his attack.  But at the same time, she had developed her own set of beliefs that remained to keep her grounded and focused on what she was doing.
