章 107: Not Enough

"Hah…I shouldn't be here," Noah whispers as he walks away from the screen door that separates him from Belen and Everest.

His steps disappear into the pit of the night.

"We're going to Korea tomorrow!" Belen hollers with a stretch of her arms to the sky, "mmm! Finally, I'll get to see the children."

Everest shyly stands before her desk, "Will I be going as well?" if he had a tail, Belen is almost sure he'd be wagging it when she saw his grin.

"Noah?" she slides her chair to the side, "can Everest come along?"

Silence…

"…Noah" Belen continued to call his name when he did not respond, but it was followed by silence.

Everest turned back to see him intensely focused on nothing but the wall when he carefully approached him, "Hey, Noah? You okay there?" he lightly tapped his shoulder.
