I didn't realize how tired I was until I sat down. I felt like sleeping for the rest of my life. "Well, I guessed you had had the baby… or babies… by now and I wanted to meet them… and see how you were doing, but I am not that important" he said intently staring at me.
"Would have been nice if you had come, oh I don‟t know maybe when you got the call. I wouldn't have even minded if it was a freaking card to say congrats, but nothing John? That‟s a bit low".
I stood up and walked into the kitchen, not wanting to upset the kids. As I predicted he followed, a mix of hurt and confusion clear on his face. "I would have come and stayed for a while if I had bloody well known" he hissed angrily. His eyes were furious.
"You were on the f**king list, John. You had been for ages. Olivia called you a million times for me! You never f**king came! I WAITED AND WAITED AND f**king WAITED AND YOU NEVER F*CKIN-"
