章 5: Five
Sydney while still embracing adam started to divulge how her mother became her worst nightmare. Her loneliness, her insecurities and her fears.
"That time, i promise my self i wouldn't never do what my mother done, and i would never abandoned or nor unconcerned like my father does to me." she says
"I don't want go experience that again, the loneliness, the sadness."
Adam stays silent, just rubbing her back and quietly holding her. They might say that he is kind and gentle, full of compassion but he know more than them that he is not what they portray, he is a cruel person, cold, aloof and vicious while hiding in his smiling face but in that moment he felt emphaty and a little heartache for her and he vowed to his self that he would never hurt her like they do her family do.
'I think I'm starting to fall in love with her' adam thought to him self before looking at her still clinging to him.
He wipe her tear stained face before handling her a bottle of water, she cry a lot so she need to stay hydrated.
After adam finish doing that, he look up to see the smile on sydney's face. She was like a satisfied kitten, waiting for someone to love and caress her. He raised her hand and ruffled her soft hair, looking at her satisfied face, still smiling at him softly, he suddenly wants to kiss her.
Little by little his face descend, looking at her face for disgust or repugnance and found none he kiss her. With her still sitting in his slap they exchanged a warm ang lingering kiss that would last forever.
Blushing, sydney rested her face on his shoulder to avoided looking at adam's smiling one.
"I like your smile, you should smile often, it makes you more beautiful." adam commented.
"okay" before nodding her head again gesturing that she understands.
"no, scratch that. You should only smile to me okay"
"hmm" came her respond when the door opened.
"I'm sorry to disturb you sir but your package have arrived" his assistant says before looking at him, eyes asking where he should put the box.
"give it to me" he says before simply grabbing it without dislodging her in his embrace.
Together they look at his assistant retreating back before looking at what he is holding, opening the package lays the boxes where their rings are placed.
"Let's get married!" he finally broke the silence but saying that, he doesn't ask, he just orders.
"en" she complied. Before saying to herself 'why would i refuse when you are the first one who makes me feel safe, who is the only one who cares for me'
"Before going home, lets go get our marriage certificate okay"
"mmm"
"but right now, let's just stay like this, i like cuddling with you" adam says caressing her hair.
He can feel how her hands tightens to his waist for a second before a tentative hand starts to pat his back softly.
"i like cuddling with you too, it makes me feel safe." she mumbled still patting his back.
They were engaged—embracing the way they were is not counted inappropriate or whatsoever. Moreover she really like hearing his calm heartbeat.
They stays like that for an hour before sydney contently let go of him. Feeling happy, light shone in her eyes as she practically wanted to skip around.
Looking at her face like a kitten who just drank a milk make him smile, a contented smile grace his face.
he remembered when she saw her face for the first time when her father bring her picture together with lorie. Her father keep on praising lorie that she is successful and the likes and to spite him, he purposely choose the last folder without seeing her face, mr. Wallis smile before saying that she is still young and she is his favourite so he can't bear to part with her prompting him to be curious and open the file, and there she is, wearing her signature poker face while reading a book, she look so peaceful and contented just sitting in a corner minding her own bussiness immerse in her own world.
"Mr. Wallis, she is the one i choose, if you doesn't want to part with her then lets just renege the agreement. So take it or leave, just make your choice."
He looks a bit uncomfortable but in the end he nod his head before signing the contract, i know that the reason why he want to adhere to the arrange marriage agreement is to try to dip his hand to the William's wealth but them he ought to thank him for giving him this gem.

After going to the civil affairs bureau, filling the form, said there vows and took picture—they even stop at one shop to change her clothes, now she is wearing a white simple dress, and a stiletto. Then after an hour they finally got there marriage certificate.
"wife" he tested saying that before liking the sound of it.
Sydney clasped her hand to Adam's neck before standing in her tippy toes and kissing his lips, it's just a simple kiss, barely even last for a second but it makes adam really happy.
Holding his hand, she start to pull him towards there car when he pinned her at one of the wall, look left and write before kissing her toridly, he gently sucked her lower lips then biting it making her gasps, when sydney opens her mouth, Adam's tongue quickly explored over her teeth making way in.
Their tongue intertwined, all the gently moment vanish, their breath intermingled with one another, and with their lips and tongue rubbing together, his confidence on his self-control are in the limit so he let go of her.
Still in dazed, her lips slightly swollen, she lick her lips, like savoring an aftertaste, she then purse it but her hand is already on his waist hugging him again.
Adam adjusted his breathing before looking at his wife.
"Be good, Let go for now, we have to home, i think their going to be closing in a minute"
"okay" Sydney nodded still smiling.
