章 24: Will there be someone one day, to help soothe the pain?
It's been a long, painful year,
Yet I haven't been able to shed a tear.
My heart was so broken and torn,
Feeling like a chess pawn.
Playing into the hands of fate,
Just sitting in await.
I still have scars that no one sees,
Not even I know what they mean.
They have shackled me for so long,
The only things keeping me alive - songs.
People do not understand what it means to be me,
And honestly - not even I know what it means to be me.
But… even if there's not that someone one day to soothe me,
I want to help others soothe that pain, and help them be free.
Be that someone to help others,
Take away gloom, stream them with colours.
The one thing this year has taught me was patience,
Not just the pandemic taught me this conscious.
I have left unfinished things from 2020,
Which I will carry to 2021.
I do not wish to carry that burden to a new start,
Yet that is what I must store in my heart.
Can you just give me a 10 minute call that's all I ask,
So I may leave this burden in the past.
Because you are my greatest antidote and my deadliest poison,
Having your presence balances this - to help within.
Can you continue to be that someone since that 'one day',
Who helped me soothe the pain?
I think I've found you,
Yet the doubt streams down dews.

Not sure when you all will embrace the New Year, I'll be in 2021 waiting for you all
Everyone experienced drastic changes this year, be proud for all achieved, even amidst losses
I think I am grateful for the crisis, I know it's weird, but because of it I got to spend more time with my bf who lives across the world from me
It was hard, getting back to normal, but we got there - together
