章 37: Chapter 35: Battle of Japan Part 5 The End of Invasion

John and Burzum stood face to face, their swords clashing in a symphony of steel. As the battle raged on, their eyes locked, each searching for answers in the depths of the other's soul.

"Burzum! How is it possible that you are alive? I saw you die before my very eyes," John exclaimed, his voice filled with confusion and disbelief.

Burzum smirked, his dark eyes gleaming with a mixture of arrogance and curiosity. "Ah, John, my old foe. I should have known you'd be the one to recognize the anomaly. Yes, I died in your reality, but I am not bound by such trivial rules anymore. I have transcended existence."

John's grip on his sword tightened, his mind racing to comprehend Burzum's words. "Transcended existence? What madness is this? And who or what could be behind all of this?"

Burzum's expression grew somber for a moment, a hint of doubt flickering across his face. "I do not have all the answers, neither I nor my fellow Orcs understand our resurrection, John. All I know is that we have been given a single purpose, a single order. To conquer the planets in every universe we are sent to, and to report back to our enigmatic 'master'."

A surge of determination coursed through John's veins. He had always fought for justice, for the protection of his loved ones and his home planet. This invasion of Japan, this threat to Earth, it all started to make sense. There was a mastermind behind it all, and he would stop at nothing to uncover the truth.

The clash of their swords grew more intense, their movements a blur of precision and skill. With each clash, they exchanged words, their voices laden with urgency.

"Burzum, you must know something, anything that could lead us to this 'master'! Tell me!" John demanded, his voice tinged with desperation.

Burzum's lips curled into a wicked smile. "I'm afraid, John, that my knowledge is limited. I am merely a soldier, a pawn in this grand game. But I can guarantee you this, when the 'master' is revealed, your world will crumble."

John gritted his teeth, his resolve hardening with each passing moment. "I won't let that happen, Burzum. No matter the cost, I will find this 'master' and put an end to this madness."

Their swords clashed one final time, the force of their collision echoing through the air. John's strength prevailed, sending Burzum sprawling backward, his sword clattering to the ground.

As Burzum lay defeated, his gaze met John's once more. In that moment, a flicker of understanding passed between them. They were both pawns in a greater scheme, victims of circumstances beyond their control.

As the battle raged on, Burzum's brute strength began to overpower John. With a mighty swing, he managed to knock John off balance, readying his sword for the killing blow.

But just before he could strike, a powerful figure stepped in between them. It was Orc Rebel Leader Garok, John's old friend. His massive frame shielded John from Burzum's wrath.

"Enough, Burzum!" Garok bellowed, his voice echoed with authority. "He may be your enemy, but he is my friend. I won't stand idly by and watch you take his life."

John gasped for breath, tears streaming down his face as he looked up at Garok. "Garok... my friend... thank you."

Garok gave John a solemn nod before turning to face Burzum. "We were once comrades, united under the same cause. But that cause has been corrupted. It's time for both of us to find our redemption."

Burzum's gaze wavered for a moment before he nodded, dropping his weapon. "Very well, Garok. But know this, John. I may bid you farewell, but this war is not over. We will meet again, on different battlegrounds."

John wiped away his tears and released his grip on his sacred katana, Ame-No-Habakiri. With steady hands, he lifted the blade high and struck Burzum down, ending his reign of terror.

"Find the 'master', John. Uncover the truth," Burzum whispered, his voice filled with an odd mix of defeat and hope.

John nodded, acknowledging the shared mission that bound them together. He would persevere, he would fight, no matter what obstacles lay ahead. For the fate of his homeworld and Japan depended on it.

With one final look at the fallen enemy leader, John took a deep breath and set off on his quest, determined to unravel the mystery behind the invasion, and uncover the identity of their enigmatic mastermind.

Vincent, Sora, Cathan, and the remaining rebel orcs gathered to celebrate their hard-earned victory. The air was thick with a mix of jubilation and mourning as they rejoiced in their triumph over the oppressive forces, but also grieved the loss of their esteemed Orc Rebel Leader, Garok. It was a bittersweet moment, filled with both pride and sorrow.

Amidst the revelry, John stood motionless, his gaze fixed upon the fallen orc leaders, Garok and Burzum. The two warrior giants, who had sacrificed so much for their cause, now lay lifeless before him. John's eyes welled up with tears as he knelt down and closed their eyes in the traditional the certain video game manner (that he loves so much since he was a child), silently bidding them farewell and wishing them luck in the afterlife.

Summoning all the strength he had left, John spoke in the orcish language, his words filled with sincerity and compassion. He bade Burzum farewell, acknowledging the battles they had fought against each other and expressing gratitude for the lessons they had learned.

"Burzum, may your restless spirit find peace in the realm beyond," John whispered, his voice carrying the weight of forgiveness. "Your deeds were driven by pain and anger, but today, I choose to remember the good that once resided within you. Rest now, knowing that we have found common ground in this twisted tapestry of war. Nurfala, Burzum. Jurbala magarth. Bolg orgal sharog.(*Rest well, Burzum. Honor the fallen. Together, we shall prevail.*) May your journey be one of redemption."

He turned his attention to Garok and John closed Garok's eyes, a surge of emotions washed over him. The weight of loss and gratitude mingled within his heart. He felt a deep sense of sadness, knowing that he would no longer hear Garok's booming laughter or witness his indomitable spirit. Yet, he also felt immense appreciation for the sacrifices Garok had made for the cause they both believed in.

Tears welled up in John's eyes as he whispered in an orcish language to say his final goodbye to his fallen comrade. "Thank you, Garok," he murmured, his voice choked with emotion. "Thank you for your unwavering commitment, for always standing by my side when no one else would. You were not just a fellow rebel, but a true friend."

The rebel and enemy orcs around him fell silent, their celebrations subdued, acknowledging the deep respect John held for their fallen leaders. Vincent, approached John and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"John, my friend, without Garok's sacrifice, we would not have triumphed today," Vincent said, his voice filled with a mix of gratitude and grief. "Their bravery and unwavering dedication to our cause will be forever remembered. We owe them a debt we can never repay."

John nodded, a mix of emotions flooding his heart. "They believed in a world where orcs and humans could coexist peacefully," he whispered. "Garok was a true leader, inspiring us all to fight for a better future. We must honor their sacrifices by continuing to fight for the freedom of all."

Sora, glanced at the gathered rebels and joined the conversation. "Garok may be gone, but his spirit lives on within us," he proclaimed, his voice resonating with determination. "We will fight until every orc and every human breathes freely without fear of discrimination or oppression."

Cathan, stepped forward, his voice carrying the weight of their history. "In the face of adversity, Garok and Burzum led us with courage, uniting us under a common goal," he boomed. "Their legacy will guide us as we strive for a world where peace and acceptance reign above all else."

The rebel orcs nodded in agreement, a renewed sense of purpose filling their hearts. The joyous celebration slowly transformed into a solemn vow to carry on the fight, fueled by the memory and sacrifice of their fallen leaders.

As the night wore on, the skies grew darker, but the rebel and enemy orcs remained steadfast in their resolve. They raised their glasses in a final toast to honor Garok, Burzum, and all those who had fought for justice and freedom. With each toast, their determination grew stronger, binding them together in their pursuit of a better world.

And as their voices united in a solemn orcish chant, the words echoed through the night—a testament to the unyielding spirit of their fallen leaders and the unbreakable bond of their brotherhood.
