章 14: Exactly What He Wanted
Inside the mall, Zhou Yuexi walked beside Zhang Yixing who held her hands hooked on his arm, making sure she doesn't get the chance to remove it.
Zhou Yuexi was shouting complaints in her head as she really found it awkward to look so endearing with Zhang Yixing in a public place. Although she was thinking of slitting Zhang Yixing's throat at the very moment, she couldn't do anything but accept the fact that complaining to her self is all that she could do.
Zhang Yixing on the other hand was enjoying the feeling of having his wife close to him. He told Zhou Yuexi that he wanted her to brand him as hers but his real motive is to brand her as his. He knew that even if his wife was already wearing a face mask, her beauty could not be concealed, she was still a head turner. The dress that she wore really suited her well and it highlighted her pretty legs that looked gorgeous hidden behind her black stockings. He couldn't help but smile in victory as he knew that he marked his territory well.
"Which store do you want to go to darling?",Zhang Yixing asked Zhou Yuexi with all smiles.
Zhou Yuexi found his smile rather suspicious but she could not really point out why so she just let it slide. "There's a brand I like called RB and fortunately they have a flagship store here at the 3rd floor."
"Then let's go there.", Zhang said as he lead them the way.
When they reached RB, the staff greeted them warmly with friendly smiles plastered on their faces.
Rain is Blue or better known as RB is one of the best fashion brand in China. Every collection released by RB is always sold out for at least a million yuan each. Socialites fight just to get their hands into one dress of the limited edition released every season. Not only are they of the highest quality among the other dresses of RB, it is also most likely to be the next trend and socialites love it when their name is in the limelight as an influencer or a trendsetter.
Out of the knowledge of everybody, RB is owned by Zhang Qingyu. It may not be too obvious as the name is written in English but if one will think of it deeply it's easy to say that Zhang Qingyu owns it, especially those who know her personally[1]. Zhou Yuexi is actually a co-owner since half the capital is given by her under Moonlight Corps. Zhang Qingyu, though, is the one that designs the dresses and manages the store. Zhou Yuexi just benefits in the revenue but she doesn't have a part in running the business. She's busy enough spearheading two companies to it's peaks, she doesn't have the time and energy to stick her nose into RB. Even so, Zhang Qingyu is doing fine on her own.
Zhang Yixing is oblivious as to who owns the store because his sister didn't tell anybody aside for Zhou Yuexi. She knew that her parents would surely use their network to make sure her business becomes well known, and she doesn't want that. She wanted to be acknowledged by people for her talents and efforts not for being a part of the Zhang Family.
Zhou Yuexi really loves Zhang Qingyu's works and she patronize it very much. She wanted to go there for the newly released summer series, she wanted to get her hands on the limited edition dresses which were personally sown by her best friend. Another reason is she wanted to see how keen Zhang Yixing was, whether he could guess that his sister is the owner of the store they were in.
When they entered, two sales staff quickly assisted them, especially when they quickly identified the man as the mighty Zhang Yixing. However, they shot a questioning look at Zhou Yuexi.
"Just who is this girl that has the guts to even hook her arms on our prince charming's arms?!", they thought to their selves.
They're disrespectful attitude didn't miss the eyes of Zhou Yuexi which made her arch a brow. She couldn't believe that her Qingqing's employees are of such conduct. Even if they don't like a customer, they should at least keep their displeasure to their selves and not make their valued customer feel unwelcomed. They must have forgotten that their salaries come from their customers' wallets! And more importantly, Zhou Yuexi was not just any customer, she is a co-owner of the very company they work for! So technically speaking, they are straight up disrespecting their boss!
Of course, if such behavior didn't miss Zhou Yuexi's eyes, there is no way on earth that Zhang Yixing would have missed it and he was nowhere happy about it. Especially when all he thinks of are ways on how to dote on his wife, what they did surely infuriated him. all he wanted was to give his wife the best treatment this world could offer and people who makes his wife even the slightest bit uncomfortable would definitely face his wrath.
He was about to teach the staff a lesson but Zhou Yuexi shot him a look and shook her head, making him hold back his anger. Zhang Yixing closed his eyes for a bit and heaved a deep breath, to regain his calmness. When he opened his eyes, he was back to his domineering and overpowering self, making the temperature inside the store drop a couple centigrades.
"I want the newest collection this season.", Zhou Yuexi said which earned her a smirk from one of the staff.
"I'm sorry dear customer, but Young Miss Jiang is in the middle of trying all of it out.", the smirking staff replied dryly.
As if on cue, an elegant looking lady wearing a tight body hugging emerald green dress strode towards them, the young miss of the Jiang family, Jiang Yifei. "I'll get everything from that set.", she said to one of the staff.
"Yes miss!", the sales lady gladly complied.
After the sales person went to get the dresses to wrap them up, Jiang Yifei seemed to have noticed Zhang Yixing who was at his phone, texting at that moment.
"Bro Xing! It's been a long time since we've last met, how have you been doing?", Jiang Yifei said in her friendliest voice.
Zhang Yixing just looked at her and could be bothered to even greet her so he continued on texting.
Jiang Yifei felt embarrassed being unacknowledged by Zhang Yixing after she acted like they were close friends, even having the guts to call him 'Bro Xing'. However, she doesn't have the courage to snap back at Zhang Yixing because technically, that's social suicide, all she could do was swallow the lump in her throat and put on an awkward smile.
Jiang Yifei's eyes then noticed a tall woman with a face mask, Zhou Yuexi. She scrutinized Zhou Yuexi from head to toe but couldn't be bothered to greet her as she seemed like someone unimportant.
To Jiang Yifei's shock, Zhou Yuexi raised her brows on her and scrutinized her from head to toe with more contempt than when she did it to Zhou Yuexi. Her eyes almost bulged when Zhou Yuexi snaked her arms around Zhang Yixing's before looking back at her again in ridicule.
Zhang Yixing was very delighted with Zhou Yuexi's sudden show of possessiveness and he couldn't help but smile. It was exactly what he wanted her to do, to put her stake on him and show the whole world that she owned him.
Zhou Yuexi didn't like that Jiang Yifei was subtly trying to flirt with her husband. She also didn't like how she had the guts to call him such an endearing name that even she haven't called him yet. Additionally, she was trying to get the dresses that she has set her eyes on. Jiang Yifei just did so many violations that broke Zhou Yuexi's thin strand of patience, there was no way on earth that she was going to her go unscathed.
Zhou Yuexi devised a plan on her head and smirked underneath her face mask. It's show time!
"Excuse me, but is that the limited edition collection this season, Blue Heaven?", Zhou Yuexi asked the staff.
"Yes, it is. Young Miss Jiang wants all dresses from this collection, I'm afraid you might need to look for other dresses.", the staff answered with ridicule.
After hearing that reply, Zhou Yuexi smirked to her self. "If you think, I'm easy to bully, think again!", she thought.
Zhou Yuexi flashed a smile to the sales lady. "But aren't those dresses for sale under reservation?", she asked innocently.
"It's not like you have them reserved.", the sales person replied then turned to Jiang Yifei. "Your purchase is being packed at the moment. How would you like to pay?"
Zhou Yuexi arched her brow the asked, "Who said I don't have a reservation?".
Confusion was visible on the staff's faces.
"Oh, I believe those dresses you are selling to someone else is already reserved for Ms. Z, more than a month ago. One month, six days and...", Zhou Yuexi dragged as she checked the time on her wrist watch, "eighteen hours and thirty seven minutes to be exact."
The faces of the staff were as pale as sheet when they realized that the masked lady they continuously disrespected was their store's number one customer, Ms. Z.
"Forgive us ma'am, we didn't recognize you! We were wrong! We were wrong! Would you like to try the dresses on?", one of the staff offered.
Jiang Yifei's face darkened when she heard the staff apologize and offer to give the dress she was supposed to buy to someone else.
"You want me to try on something that's already worn by someone else?! Do I look like I wear someone else's scraps?!", Zhou Yuexi lashed at them.
"We're very sorry ma'am, we didn't mean it that way. As you know, there's only one piece for each design in the limited edition series, we wouldn't be able to adjust them to your sizes if you don't put it on.", the staff nervously explained.
Zhou Yuexi scoffed at them. "So it's MY fault that you gave MY dresses to some caterpillar or whatever you call that? I can't believe that after patronizing your store ever since the very beginning this is the kind of service that I will get.", Zhou Yuexi complained to the staff and at the same time, insulted Jiang Yifei.
Facing Zhou Yuexi's frosty expression and continuous beration, the staff didn't know what to do and what to say to make satiate Zhou Yuexi's temper. Jiang Yifei on the other hand turned from green to white to black and to different other shades as she tried to control her self despite the embarrassing state she was in.
Amidst the whole drama, Zhang Yixing was busy on his phone the whole time. He was texting with Lu Han with regards an investigation on his sister. He wanted to know if his guess was correct that it was his sister that owned RB. And as soon as he received confirmation from Lu Han he immediately called Zhang Qingyu.
The call was picked up on the first ring. "Yes, Ge? Why did you call?", Zhang Qingyu answered.
"I want you to release a mass production of your limited edition, Blue Heaven. Create another series and send it to me."
Everybody's attention turned to Zhang Yixing when he suddenly spoke all of a sudden. Especially Zhou Yuexi who didn't know whether to applaud Zhang Yixing for his keen senses or to scold him for ruining her plan or to thank him for standing up for her.
