章 20: strange

The flute section leader passed out from bumping her head. She woke up in the practice room, not knowing how long she was asleep for. She looked around the small creepy room. She saw her phone near the wall, the screen shattered on the black and white floor. She anxiously picked it up and attempted to turn it on. She sighed a breath of relief as the screen lit up displaying the time and date over a background of her in her marching uniform. 6:35 am she had missed 5 minutes of the meeting. quickly she gathered her things and pulled apart her instrument to put away. After that, she shoved the door to get out. The door was stuck. "Oh no, not now" she whispered to her self. This was common, many people often get stuck in the practice rooms due to how old they are and how poorly the doors were built. The perfectly fitting door made of metal that rubbed against the metal door frame did create an air tight seal, but also used the same technique brass instruments use to keep their mouth peices from flying across the field while going to set. This causes the door to get stuck and only with help could she get out of that room now. In order to open the stuck door it would require someone to pull from the outside and someone to push from the inside. She calmly texted in the section leader group chat that she was trapped in a practice room and needed help getting out. Knowing they were in a meeting no one should see her message until after the meeting was over. She sat across from the window and decided to continue practicing to pass the time. As she set up she heard a piano. That was strange she thought. She shouldn't be able to hear the piano in another practice room. Then she remembered the air vents in the practice rooms were all connected, and maybe if she started playing they'd come and help her out of the room.
