IN THE FORSAKEN FOREST, a little girl with big eyes and black hair, hid inside the python's coiled body.

"Xinyi, it's time for class. Come home now," Yan Ma, still in her late thirties, shouted at the back porch.

"I won't," the little Xinyi replied, jumping out from the coil and ran after a big fat bunny.

"Why not?" Yan Ma walked toward the garden, where she saw little Xinyi jumping over a black bunny with the ear of a mouse.

"I don't like classes." She embraced the bunny tight who squirmed his way from her hold. Little Xinyi heard the bunny's plea and let it go.

"Yes, you will or you won't get a good husband," Yan Ma said a matter-of-factly.
