Before You Read
This is the Author here and I would like to make some facts clear before you begin to read my work .
The Characters of this Novel are loosely based on Ancient Chinese History and on some of my favourite Wuxia Novels like those of the Legendary Master Louis Cha or Jin Yong as he was more popularly known. ( he is also the Godfather of 'Eastern Fantasy' , his counterparts in the west would be JRR Tolkien or CS Lewis )
While I am reimagining most of the characters in an entirely unique way I have kept some of the mythos associated with them intact since I feel that failing to do so would in fact be in a way , a heinous crime.
So yes most of the characters here are pretty famous and I do encourage you to read about them if you have the time so that you can enjoy this story to the fullest extent ( by the way their tales are a pretty fun read as well and are in a way the ancestors of the Original Webnovels that you are exposed to here !)
Jing Ke , the MC here , was in reality somewhat of a Tragic Hero and many legends have been written about his failed assassination attempt on the then King Of Qin who went to become the legendary first Emperor who unified all of China (There have been a couple of movies as well including Hero (2002) , the Jet Li starrer which went into perform quite incredibly at the global stage !) , other characters such as Dongfang Bubai are pretty much household names and are now a part of folklore as much as say , Sun Wukong is .
For the convenience of the readers I have already published two chapters titled 'World Introduction' and 'Character Introduction ' which make the settings of this world quite clear .
In the World Building I once again abundantly borrow from my seniors whether in the name of the various factions which figure prominently in several of the Wuxia (Martial Arts Stories) classics or in the name of the Regions (these are old names for the various regions of China and were quite popular up to the period of Ming dynasty , and are standard now in many novels ) , the Hundred Schools of thought for example really existed during the era known as the Warring States period where they interfaced with the daily lives of many of the citizens.
Naturally I have given my own spin to these ancient organisations and have looked at them in a brand new light .
Regarding the Characters I have chosen to mention in the Introduction , these are the characters who figure prominently in the first few arcs of the story and there are naturally many more besides.Again to these celebrities who belong in the annals of history whether of the real or of the literary sections , I have unquestioningly remained faithful while reimagining them in a manner that I feel is quite interesting , which is why I felt the need to 'introduce' or more aptly 'reintroduce' them .
Also all things aside , I am just an University student here working on my English and felt that through the medium of writing not only can I bring alive some of the stories that make me so passionate still but also simultaneously improve my communication skills ; a double bonus !
