章 47: The Boss v Future CEO's wife
Linda had an awkward smile when Alvin came to inform them again that Tom was busy and will not be able to accommodate them. He even said to wait at the lounge if they wanted to which only means that Tom will not talk to them at all.
She tugged Mrs Del Monte with almost teary eyes. "It's okay Auntie, we can just come back or wait for Tom at home."
Hearing this, Mrs Del Monte felt sorry at Linda. Such a great woman is being ignored by his heartless son. He never really listens to her and cannot be controlled no matter what tricks she does. At first, she was elated and very proud that her son is way smarter than other kids.
However, having this kind of son felt also like a curse that she cannot do anything to him even at a very young age. It was definitely a blessing and a curse at some point especially if he defies all her wishes and gives her no face in front of other people.
Aside from Linda being exceptionally beautiful, she is also very smart and successful. She was independent and a good child. She cannot understand why his son will turndown this kind of beauty. "Is he dating another woman now? Was he really a gay?" she can't help to doubt.
However, nothing changes on son's schedule as per her investigation. She had not heard another woman go near him aside from the new secretary. And knowing his son, he will not be hooked and be involved with this kind of relationship, so she did not divulge too much about it.
If he was the latter, she will not be able to accept this. He is the only man in the family both paternal and maternal side. He will be the only succession. Their ancestor might raise from the grave if this was the case. But as a mother, she knew that he was not like that.
Her heartache seeing Linda trying to keep her composure. She patted lightly her shoulder and looked at her apologetically. "Don't worry, I'll ask him to dine with us next time. He should forget about having a mother if he will still refuse to talk to me."
Linda's mood improves hearing the determination on Mrs Del Monte's face. Even if Tom lives independently, his family still oblige him to go home at least twice a month and sometimes had to stay there.
He will not be able to avoid this to happen and when that time came, she might go all out. It seems that she needs to be more aggressive. Waiting for him to take the initiative might not happen in this lifetime.
Linda smiles "Auntie would you like to go shopping with me today. My friend just opened a new shop and released a new line of clothing lines. I think the designs fit you very well."
"Okay, let do that then. I haven't out for a while now. If I have a sensible daughter in law like you, I might not be this bored all time," Mrs. Del Monte agreed immediately.
The two of them left the building hand in hand with a lighter mood. The employers who've seen this were envious and conflicted. Their boss was aloof and cold to Linda and even with his mother's help, he did not care at all.
However, the mother seems to love Linda and settled on her as a daughter in law of the family. If they act wrongly, they could lose their jobs in the long run for offending their boss or offending the daughter in law.
Due to this dilemma, the employees have just decided to avoid any encounters to them as much as possible and focus on working. Their boss mood is more important than anything; nonetheless, they won't dare to offend Linda as well.
If she really becomes the CEO's wife, it is not impossible that she takes things personally and get back at them. Those who have gossiped about Linda previously can't help to sweat cold in fear. They looked at Ana and Bing with a little jealousy and annoyance at the same time.
Those two-curry favours from the very start and always at Linda's side and if they were not careful, they might sing everything they hear and see in the office. One by one, they all resume at their work after glaring at Bing and Ana with wary.
At Blue Royal Building
Henry was looking at the report about Sab. His browsed furrowed extruding a deadly aura. The female employees almost cried from fear and men can hardly breathe. For an unknown reason, their CEO seemed to possess by a devil and push all the deadlines and seek for excellence and perfection.
Warren his personal secretary was extremely careful and keeping his silence all the time seeing how sour his mood is. He had been working with Henry, but this was the first time that this temper got out of control after receiving the report about Sab.
When he was asked to investigate, he did not think much but then Henry become persistent in locating this ordinary young woman. His curiosity spikes. Initially, he thought that the woman offended their boss and wants to teach her a lesson.
However, Henry acted like a stalker who keeps making an opportunity to meet the girl. He also seems to treat her better than anyone.
Today, out of the blue they find out that she was married to one of the influential and wealthiest men and it seems that devil inside him awakens making their office turns upside down.
He refused to believe that Henry is interested in her but seeing what is happening, it seems that she was not a simple and ordinary woman. He prayed that the report was not true, or else he cannot imagine what could happen.
Even after a long time, Henry seems unable to calm himself seeing the "Married" status at the report. His handsome face cannot go darker and contorted. Something is burning inside with no way out.
He already vented his anger, but it cannot be distinguished by just yelling and working too much. He still able to think this matter of fact no matter what he does.
With this great blow, he dashed out of the office. For the first time, he felt suffocated inside and do not want to stay there.
The employees who see him walk out froze on the spot and trembled at the same time. They prayed and ready themselves at the worst, but Henry did not even look at them. He passed through them without a word as if nothing exists in the world.
As soon as Warren emerges from the CEO's office, employees immediately gathered around him and ask what's going on. Their boss was very strict at work; but reasonable. It was the first time that he asked them to disregard the timeline and pushed everything, either the project is complicated or not.
"Warren, what's happening to our boss?
"Do we really have to complete our reports in 3 days?"
"How about me? Do I really need to submit the Blue Pearl Marketing Report tonight?"
Warren sighs inside and kept his poker face. "Better do what he asked for or forget about going to the office. He is already in such a bad mood, don't make it worst," he then walks to his desk and continues working.
Looking at where their boss disappears, he made a silent prayer again that the report must be wrong. It was not easy for their boss to like or be interested in someone. It will be too troublesome if their boss will be in bad terms with another business tycoon.

Tom sneered when reading a message and looked at Sab contently who is now sleeping peacefully in his embrace. This little woman was so ignorant yet still capable of attracting bees... not just a simple bee but an influential bee. Nonetheless, he was already too late, he enjoys keeping this woman by his side and will stay that way unless he says so.
Sab unconsciously frowned feeling unsatisfied. She moves closer to something warmer until she smells a familiar scent and went back to dreamland. Though Sab keeps telling herself that she must be independent and live for herself, her body seems to rely on someone and could only sleep well in his embrace.
When Sab woken-up, it was already very late. It took a few seconds before she completely sobers up and realized that she was in Tom's small room connected in his office. After tidying a bit, she went to look for Tom. Looking at him speaking in another language, she can feel her heart flatters.
His voice sounded magnetical and very manly. He not only sounded very manly, but he is also dashingly handsome and super-rich. This man is my temporary husband. I should be proud of myself. What to do? I feel so FAKE Cinderella. She smiled thinking of this. Should I seduce him? He was her first man anyway? Yeah… right if I want to ruin my future, I can force him to stay by my side… tsk tsk
Tom look at Sab deeply seeing her infatuated face again. Though he kept his straight and cold face, there was a glimpse of shine if you look at it closely. His wife is really very simple and different. She never even cared confronting him with a bare face.
But even with a clean face, she looked surprisingly beautiful. From a lousy young woman, she transforms into a confident beautiful woman unknowingly. He can't help to praise himself. This was naturally her, but because of him, this beauty is coming out beautifully day by day.
