章 18: Fall into his trapped
Sab just finished eating and about to leave when someone shouted "The CEO is here!" Next second, the employees gathered-up to check if it's true and canteen become noisy.
Tom arrived with Alvin following together with other executives. He has blank expression as he walks-in with extruding powerful dark aura. His light browned eyes were emotionless which gives more thrilled at the heart of most women that almost jump in excitements as he walk pass through them.
Some employees excitedly ran to Tom and greeted him respectfully. They felt like the sun rise from the west. Their CEO is known for being high profile but now came down from his throne and eat the same food serves to them.
The canteen that is normally noisy and full of fun slowly become quiet. No one dares to show huge movements. Some employees who initially planned to leave remained seated and pretended to eat without making much sounds.
Sab froze for few seconds then ran at the corner to hide. He looked at the man's direction who is now seated at the prepared table. She wanted to leave immediately but in order to do this, she needs to pass at their direction. She tried to think of other way but there's really no other way.
Tom scanned the canteen as if he's trying to check on the place. When some of the Directors made an invitation to eat at the canteen just for experience and boost morale of the employee especially that there will be huge charity event in the next few months, he agreed immediately that made everyone startled. It supposed to be a funny joke and no one expect their CEO will take it seriously.
Sab been trying to avoid Tom since she started working in the office. She will come and leave the office without him even if he specifically instructed to wait for him. She'll wake-up really and go to the office super early and will make an excuse when they need to go home and will leave without him.
At home, the little wife will eat and will left as quickly as possible. Due to work load which he also brings at home, they have no time to talk at all. He could only manage to do is give her an evening and morning kiss. He wanted to see the angry and shy reaction of wife every time he kiss her especially when he gets intense. Nonetheless, the wife will not say anything but her true emotion was all written on her face.
The employees can't help steal a glance at Tom specially the women employees but scared enough to have an eye contact with him. When it supposed to happen, they would either pretend speaking with one another or will pretend eating or will just looked down.
Tom eat quietly and try to look time to time around when he notices some of the employees focusing their gaze at one direction few steps from their table. But due to the wall in between, he can't see what it was.
He asked others to continue eating as he stood-up and looks around. The Directors wanted to come with him but since they were told to stay put, they all just nodded in agreement. Alvin did not also follow him. He knows exactly why his boss agreed to eat at the canteen.
For the past week, his boss kept on asking where Sab eats and he always tells him that she eats alone at the office canteen. Though his instruction was only to teach Sab about work, it's obvious that his boss is quite concern with the little girl.
Tom walks at the direction and saw the little wife sitting on her feet. Though she busied herself cleaning her already spotless shoes, it was obvious that she just wanted to hide at her position.
He stood there and observed for more than 5 minutes while both hands are in his pockets. The wife never lifted her head. Thinking that little wife's legs might be numb now, he cleared his throat to get her attention.
"Eehermmm… how long do you plans to sit in that position?"
Sab stops moving upon hearing a familiar voice. She raised her head and saw Tom's clear light browned eyes. She unconsciously swallowed her own saliva. She's been trying to avoid the man even at home to clear whatever feeling she might be developing.
Her goal since she become orphan was to marry an ordinary man and to live a simple life so she's trying to train her mind and heart to focus on her tasks which is to only act as fake wife and never to fall for this gorgeous and capable man.
Sab heart thump in fear due to the number of curious eyes looking at them. She calmed herself and tried to stand-up but was surprise as she felt the floor and ceilings are moving in opposite directions and unable to balance herself up.
Then she left her legs stab multiple times by millions of needles. She involuntarily shut her eyes due to pain. This must be because she was looking downward and sitting on her feet for too long that when she experiences the bright light in the canteen as she lifted her head and stretch out her legs, everything become uncomfortable.
Her body swayed few times and was about to collapse when a big hand swoops her waist and supported her body. When she opened her eyes, she was leaning on someone's chest. She raised her head to see who it was and surprise to see Tom's serious face.
Sab's little mouth left opened in shock and move few times but unable to utter a word. "OMG, how can he do this openly in front of his employees?" She could feel that canteen become extremely silent at the scene then slowly become noisy.
She pushed his chest using small hands but felt that his gripped only become tighter. She has no choice but to look at him with begging eyes to let her go. Her life was already difficult just because of small incident with Tom.
With their ambiguous position surely, she has no where to hide now. "Tom you can't do this," she whispered. "Everyone is looking at us."
Tom looked at the little wife face blankly. Ignoring her warnings, he touches the corner of her lips using his bare hands and said in low voice. "How can you dirty your lips when you're no longer a kid. Are you suggesting me to kiss you??!"
Sab's face instantly turned red. She felt anger. Of course, this man will never listen to her. How she lives is none of his business. She rocks her head to think of a way to escape. She tried to push him again but his like a wall and didn't even dodge.
Employees jaw who witness the scene dropped. All of them froze and look at each other but no one speak a word. Tom gave a sharp look at the gossipers and they all look away.
Tom asked. "How do you feel? Are your legs still hurts?" His dark eyes looked at her directly.
Sab froze hearing his question. She can sense a concern on his voice and felt warm inside. Being an orphan for a long time, this simple gesture can break the wall she builds for years. She shook his head not as a reply but wanting to forget whatever she's thinking and feeling.
She can never afford this kind of man. Thus, she will never throw herself in the pit of fire. Also, it would be impossible for this devil to notice her with all the beautiful women around him. Being with him for less than a month, she herself was amazed on what a woman can really do for the sake of love.
If she was not sneaky enough, she would not last this long untouched. "Tom, they are looking at us. I don't want to argue with the other girls in the office. You need to release me!"
Tom looked at the little wife silently then his lips formed a small ark as he thought of something that is really nice. "Then you have to promise me that you'll come to the office alone later?" still in low voice that almost a whisper.
Sab hand clenches and form into fist. Of course, she has to agree whatever his conditions. She can already see the contorted face of Vicky together with the other ladies she spoke with in the past week. She lowered her head and answered in same manner. "Okay, just let me go!"
Tom was satisfied on her answer and released her waist right away. He returned to the table and continue eating.
