章 79: Imposter
Coming home from school, I take a bath in the tub when my sister knock. She said she wanted to bathe with me. So I let her in. We normally do everything together. She immerse in the tub when the telephone rang. I stood up and put a towel on. She raise her head and for a moment, I thought her eyes were black. I mean, I know our iris is dark brown and all but from what I saw, all parts of her eyes were covered with black. She asked me where I was going. I snap out of thoughts and her eyes were back to normal. At least from my point of view that is. I told her I would answer the phone and that she should stay there for it will only take few minutes. She nodded.
I took the phone from the living room. It was my mom saying they went to the mall with Ana(my sister) and that she was checking if I was alright. I was confused. I told her Ana was with me. She let me talk with Ana and somehow, my body stiffened. If Ana was really with them, who was that in the tub? "What's taking you so long?" the other Ana asked. I told her to come back to the tub because I would be there soon. I saw her went back and I slowly opened the front door and tiptoed to the gate when I saw her standing in the front door. She was just staring and I then run to one of my friends house. I told them my parents weren't home and that if it was okay if I stayed there. She asked her parents about it and they agreed. I know my parents would come pick me up when they came home. I fell asleep there but my parents never came to pick me up. I went to my house. Our car was parked in the garage and so I quickly went inside. My parents were surprised to see me. They said I already went to school when in fact I slept in my friend's house.
