As I listen to his story of his friendship with Adam my thoughts go back to the Oracle.
"What did the Oracle say about me?"
"'Seek the person to free us all, They be twenty somthing when you hear the call.
Your journey begins when they run for dear life, Trust in them even if they take flight.' then she said, 'Find the one that many can't sees, trust in love for they will be'"
"And you thought it was me?" I laugh.
"Well at first no, you looked to be a boy in your teens. It was when I noticed everyone seemed to over look you unless you wanted them to see you. I don't think I would have paid any attention to you if I hadn't bumped into you."
"How much further, I'm getting tired," I ask.
He smiled and said, "Will be there in time for dinner follow me."
"Tell me about your mother and father." He said.
"My mother was Lady Elizabeth of Ombridge she fell in love with a local farm boy. Even though her parents were against them marring they eloped.
She did not return home until I was one and she was pregnant with my brother. They had no choice but to except me and my father.
When my brother was born he became sick so my grandfather stole him and sent him away. I've never seen him again.
My mother and father were heartbroken and we moved to the crossroads and they ran an inn there helping those that were in need.
Just after my 16th birthday my Uncle came looking for my mother and wanted her help in taking over this land. She refused but found out I had the same powers as my mother so he killed them and tricked me into thinking it was the current ruler. I used my powers a few times but soon found out his lies and I have been running ever since."
"You though I killed your parents at first." He asked.
"Yes, but his men spilled the real story one night when I pushed him to tell the truth."
"Why does your powers not work on me?"
"I don't know. They didn't work on my Uncle. I also know that mothers power did not work on father or my grandparents. But her power did work on her brother."
"Have you tired to find your bother?"
"Yes, The servant who took him away took him to a temple to be raised by monks. When I went there they said he left as a child and they didn't know where he was."
"What Temple?" He asked.
"The Water Lilly Temple in the North area."
"Adam came from that Temple he is about the same age as you maybe he knew your brother. What was his name?"
"Mother named him George after my uncle."
"Well we will ask Adam when we get back. Just over that hill and we will be there."
I take a deep breath and ride the rest of the way in silence.
◇◇◇♡♡♡◇◇◇ [Max]
I felt she needed time to think so as we travel the last few miles I stay quite.
As we arrive home Adam greets us, "Your back why?"
"He made me." She said pointing at me.
"Max you promised to let him go." Adam says.
"I did but she needs our protection and help." I say.
"She? He knows?" Adam says looking at Beth.
"Yes he tried to sleep with me and got freaked out." She laughed.
I just shake my head and I dismount and help her down. Adam gives the bags to one of the servants and the horses to the stable men.
"Adam meet me in my study please when your done."
Adam then gives directions to other staff members to get a room ready for their guest.
"What up my friend?" He says.
"Elizabeth tell Adam of your bother."
She retails her story and I notice Adams face goes white.
"Adam what's wrong?" I ask.
"I did not know... I really did not know." He says.
"Know what, dam it man, talk to me do you know her brother?" I am now getting upset at the way he is acting.
"Yes, and you know him too."
"You do... were is he?" She runs over to him and takes his hand.
"My real name is George the Monks changed it to Adam after the firstborn. They told me my family turn me away because I was sick but they cured me. I am your brother Elizabeth you are my sister I did not know I had." He pulled Beth into a hug and could not let go as tears fell down both their faces.
I stand up and walk out to give them a chance to talk.
♡♡♡◇◇◇♡♡♡ [Beth]
I could not believe that the first person I put my trust into was my very own brother. We stay into each others arms until we both have no more tears to cry.
We talk for about an hour when a maid came in to say supper was ready.
"Come you need to meet your brother-in-law Robert he is going to love you. Elizabeth you have made me the happiest man alive." He pulled me along.
"Call me Beth. I am happy to find you after all this time."
I was lead to a big dinning room were there was a lot of people sitting. Adam leads me over to a tall man with golden eyes and golden hair.
"Beth this is my husband Robert." Robert took her hand and kissed the back of it.
"Robert this is my long lost sister Elizabeth." Robert looked at Adam with a puzzled looked.
"Sister?" Robert asked.
"Yes, Sister. She has been looking for me for the past eight years and my parents for the past twenty years." Adam explained.
"Where are your parents then?" He asked.
I tell him of their death and the reason behind Adams disappearance as we eat the meal prepared. It suprises me, that most of the servants eat dinner together with Max.
I listen to the conversation over the meal and steal glances at Max as he eats. He really is a handsome man.
After our meal is done Adam shows me to my room and gives me a beautiful dress to wear.
