Zero knew that he had 3 half-siblings: a brother and two sisters. 

He was the only one from his mother's first husband, as his father died on the day he was born. His father was of royal blood but his mother's current husband was not. Thus, Zero was the one of 'pure' royal blood. 

An added 'bonus', so to speak.

Zero was well aware of the fact that he was the one with the 'best' qualifications amongst his siblings to take over the throne. The eldest son, pure royal blood, and had the signature silver hair.

Hence, despite the fact that he had been missing since he was born, the title of the 'Crown Prince' was never taken away from him.

Yet.

For his mother was still the reigning Queen, thus, the need for a 'replacement' was never truly there.
